So excited..

its definitely over boosting by the sound of it to me. my st when running race program on dreamscience map overboosts and goes into limp. only its a lot easier to rectify on the st, just switch off ignition, switch back on and away you go. So not nearly as much of a pain in the arse as yours. Just not a good map by the sound of it mate :(

put the £500 towards a limited slip diff.

Makes such a drastic difference to the handling it cannot be stated. It tames all the astra VXRs wild habits.

think MPG are doing a group buy for £800 all in or something at the mo. See if you can get in on that.

£100 off.

Surely then you'll then need the removal and refitting of gearbox, gearbox rebuild, as well as fitting lsd to crownwheel.

Wouldn't have thought you'd get much change from 2.5k.

Depends if you like that sort of thing as well, depending on the type of diff, it may be really not nice on a daily drive.

Well some advice I've been given is that the new MAF will take some time to settle down so will pop up some errors every now and then. So I'll clear it again and see how it goes.

Princey, when i had a stage 2 TMS nurb, i had no problems. You may have small niggle that is being magnified by the map???

TW, nothing wrong with the astra, i had one, now got a a4 quattro, the astra vxr is far far more fun! I'd have one again tomorrow.

Sounds like an excuse to not give you your money back

After this much trouble I'd be doing whatever possible to get this map off and my money back.

First I've heard of a MAF needing to 'settle down' thats for sure...ime MAFs are either working or broken and when I clean mine and do an ECU reset its purely the ECU that needs to relearn not the MAF. As above, I think they are pulling the wool over your eyes...its overboosting and since it didn't do it before and their map has upped the boost level...that's whats causing the limp mode. It must be spiking under WOT.

I know what garages and tuners can be like but seriously don't let them keep fobbing you off...

Is there any software to log stuff on the vxrs? On the VAG group we have VAG COM that can monitor and log the boost etc...

Could be handy to have the actual boost figures to hand?
