So, the Championship season has started **Spoilers**

Strangely enough, the Sky commentator and the guys on Soccer Saturday all said it wasn't a penalty at the time - I can see why it was given but it was a little soft. If Hooper doesn't have control of the ball (which I personally don't think he did) then it's not a goal-scoring opportunity that our defender is denying.

With regards to the defender, I a) don't think he realised Hooper would throw himself to the floor after such little contact and b) has only just come into the side with Tarkowski going to Burnley - he's not played in England before this season, so was very naive to put Hooper under any sort of pressure when behind him. Being one nil down with 85 mins to play is a much preferable scenario than being one man down with 85 mins to play. I seriously don't get why players seem to not understand this point.

We are a worse side than last season unfortunately, but it's not the end of the world. We simply don't have the revenue to compete in this division, and we probably only had one shot to surprise the other teams in this division whilst also being good players on the cheap. No one is surprised by us this season/undermines us, whereas we're getting quoted silly money and silly wages in order to sign players. Hopefully with the relaxation of FFP next season we'll give it a proper go.

Wednesday are obviously spending a fair bit in terms of transfers and wages, but you've had a cracking couple of transfer windows - Bannan and Forrestieri have to be among the buys of the season in the Championship.

We won't agree on the red card :p.

The decision making was terrible, 1-0 with 85 minutes to play would have been a much 'easier' game.

I don't think Brentford are a considerably worse side per say, I think Brentford will finish mid table fairly comfortably. Sign the right players in the summer (maybe with this manager, or another) and everything will be ok :).

I was seriously impressed by numbers 15/28. They looked excellent, a cut above the other players whose heads dropped after the second goal.

Bannan, Forrestieri, Hooper are unbelievable so far this season. I still have question marks over the manager though, and (as mental as it seems) I'm not totally convinced by Wednesday . I know that might seem a bit crazy when you look at the form table / league table.

I have been singularly unimpressed by a number of sides that have come to H'boro this season.

Decent game. Bridcutt, Cook and Diag were brilliant. Just imagine if we had three equally good attackers in front of them....we have Doukara! would have taken a draw before the game!

The Leeds fan taken to Toumani then? Looked in good form last night.

15 is Woods, signed him from Shrewsbury Town over the summer. Lively little midfielder. 28 is Yennaris, signed on a massive wage and seen as a "coup" by our former DoF. Was almost immediately deigned not to be good enough and has spent two years trying to work his way into the first team. More of a utility player, but you're the first opposition fan I've heard rate him so it would seem as if he's improving.

Good luck for the remainder of the season :)

Yeah, seems to add a bit of composure in the middle. Bridcutt you can tell is a PL player, not sure he will ever really perform there mind, not at Sunderland anyway. Hope we sign him.

I don't know. I would have said that before he actually played there, but he looked way out of his depth last season. Very good player at this level though, if you play in a system that has that type of player.

Just watched some highlights from yesterday. Forrestieri's red card was ridiculous... One Yellow for diving and another for handball in the opposition area!:o

Brighton were awful yesterday but it is the kind of result you can get in the Championship. We were bossing the first 15, then Cardiff have two what I would class as soft shots and they both go in. It happens. It was never going to be an easy game anyway.

Keith Stroud is a genuinely terrible referee. He booked Forrestieri for a dive when he was clearly fouled, then minutes later gave a freekick for Wednesday in an almost identical situation. Hilarious if it was not so tragic that a referee of his standard is employed in professional football.

Second was a yellow (though there was a push on Forrestieri).

Whenever I see Keith Stroud's name pop up on our games I know it's going to be a farce one way or another. He's screwed us as often as he's screwed our opponents, and is normally equally poor for both sides - he just loves to be the centre of attention, and I've no idea why he's still officiating in the Football League. Looking at those two Forrestieri incidents, neither is severe enough to add up to half of a sending off at all.

We're in dire straights. Players don't look interested, awful tactics and we're a world away from the side Carsley has playing three short months ago. We've one once in nine, and scored once versus eleven conceded since we took the lead against Leeds. We're very fortunate that the bottom three are so awful as we're in full on free fall right now.

Amen brother!

Brentford will be 'ok', but I have been singularly unimpressed with your manager runs like this are part of the reason owners/chairmen have itchy trigger fingers.

Absolute **** last night.

Sheffield Wednesday were totally dominant, Queens Park Rangers were / are absolutely terrible. Queens Park Rangers are easily one of the worst sides I have seen at H'borogh for a few seasons, Bolton looked considerably better.

Wednesday should have killed the game off, only some poor finishing prevented this. Queens Park Rangers offered nothing up front aside from a couple of shots on target. However, as poor as Wednesday's finishing was it was absolutely nothing compared to the level of terrible by the officials.

I **** you not. The referee towards the end of the game, literally just walked off the pitch. He failed to tell the fourth official that he needed to come off, rather opting to just walk off the pitch which left the fourth official trying to warm up, get dressed and take over from the referee, which took a good 4 minutes. No more shocking than the referee's performance, which was awful. Amazes me how these referee's are paid to do their job. The fourth official (when he finally got on), then gave nothing to either side, including a hilariously obvious penalty for Wednesday.

The Queens Park Rangers manager at least could admit that Wednesday should have won.

Much improved performance from Boro last night. Full of aggression and energy, passing it about nicely (although that side of things can still improve) and we created a ton of chances... sadly Rhodes squandered all of these!

It's great seeing Friend and Downing back in action down the left, it's a beautiful sight to see, they seem to know each others game inside out. Adomah was excellent, worked really hard. Forshaw was absolutely superb, very solid, tenacious, great first touch. I'd think I'd have him ahead of Leadbitter at the moment. He should get a decent run in the team now with Clayton still suspended and Leadbitter 1 booking away from a double suspension.

Ramirez was very good again I thought, there's a touch of class about him and had a hand in all 3 goals, as well as winning a penalty. Kalas and particularly Fry deserve special mention too.

Although Rhodes missed a few last night, the signs are good, his movement was excellent and I thought he put a great shift in. If he keeps getting on the end of balls like he did last night he'll still bag a load of goals before the end of the season.

Let's hope that's the end of our blip and back into winning ways!

while downing and friend link up well downing doesnt half make some amount of errors . not even half the player he was at west ham last year

great result. 10/10 for the cardiff goal . straight out of nowhere

non stop pressure today so far and downing has shown up too

mourinho in the crowd. putting on a performance again for him :p

Good point away at Hull, disappointed we could not have done more in the second half, nor steal a goal in the first.

Thought it was a good first half from both sides, chances, good football... second half Wednesday faded and Hull got better but we perked up a bit towards the end and then a silly red card meant we looked a bit under pressure for the last ~five~ minutes.

Best we've played this year I thought, took the foot off for the final 15 mins but its hardly surprising considering our games this week. Ritchie De Laet's clearance off the line was insane, would quite like to keep hold of him and Ramírez if we can. Also Dael Fry does not look anything like an 18 year old centre back
