So, the Championship season has started **Spoilers**

Great game tonight. Really pleased. Knockhaert is different class! (and I had a tenner on him to score first). I thought Murphy was excellent too. Should have scored more tbh, seemed like we didn't want to shoot in the second half.

tosh - who is your striker? Tbh mate I thought you looked pretty toothless. Decent build up but no cutting edge. Woods looks pretty decent though.

We're in a really poor state on the pitch at the moment. FFP is probably negatively impacting and limiting us more than any other side in the division, and last season set an unrealistic expectation from both our fans as well as opposing teams/fans. We've the smallest turnover in the league by quite a considerable amount, a (beautiful) dive of a stadium and a stretched budget. We'll hopefully stay up this season, and that would represent the first time since just after WW2 that we've had consecutive seasons in the top two divisions.

It's tough to watch us on the pitch right now, but we're punching well above our weight simply by not getting relegated - I think most opposing fans seem to forget how small a club we really are. With FFP relaxing somewhat next season and us having generated strong transfer revenue I think we'll have a proper go at it next season.

That's the glass half full perspective. The pessimist in me wants to say something about Smith turning a winning team into a ****ing shambles of an outfit. But I've not got the enthusiasm or determination to be upset about it and would rather be optimistic...

I still don't understand Rhodes not playing from the start. It's not like he's going to forget which team he's on, and he's most likely to know how to beat Steele/defenders etc.

Hooper! Fantastic win if we can see this out, considering we have lost Hutchinson, Westwood, and Lee throughout today. Mixed up first team but fantastic.

Well that was an unexpected draw with boro. Glad rhodes did not start or score. We look to have taken the game to them too.

Given the money Derby have spent, one could reasonably assume that promotion was absolutely their primary aim.

Morris said that the club had 'not made enough progress', while I think Derby have been too inconsistent for automatic promotion (given their spending and squad automatic promotion was not outrageous) however they are in the top five. A run of bad games and Clement was sacked.

Morris should save everyone the hassle and appoint himself manager.
