So, what doesn't work on your car?

Most people only use AC when they want ice cold air in the hot summer periods and never any time else. I'm betting those drivers weren't using it properly :p
Unfortunately I have to use it in colder weather too as it prevents the windows from fogging up thanks to pillarless doors.

Christ where to start?

Rear window demister doesn't work. Suspect relay but can't be arsed to change it.
Aircon has never worked since I got it. Considering it's a £300+ fix I'll manage without it.
Front bumper has a large crack down the middle and is held together by tape
Front radiator fans are on all the time.
Front foglight doesn't work, I removed the other front foglight.
Bulbs behind the temp display on the centre console are gone.

Nothing unfortunate about that? As mentioned above, I leave mine on 24/7 and simply adjust the climate temp to whatever is comfortable, 21, 24, 18 etc. AC isn't just for cooling, it works even better when used in normal conditions too.

I don't have climate unfortunately.
I'm forever fiddling with the temperature as it does get rather cold with the AC on in the mornings. Heated seats is a massive bonus though.

2003 Hyundai Elantra. Other than the crank sensor and wiper mechanism I don't seem able to kill it, despite torturing it (and by extension, myself) with a 3000 mile a month commute since June.

306 d turbo,

well the turbo for a start, makes a nasty sound, and lots of oily exhaust smoke!
heater fan
radiator leaks
air filter has dropped off
and couple of bushes have gone on the front suspention.

my motivation for mechanicing on nasty cars is a bit lapse, will have to get on it this week i suppose.

Rover 75 CDTi Connoisseur 130

The handling is a little loose, due to it being on 171k and on it's original shocks and springs. :o

Surprisingly, that's it! Ice cold dual zone climate, all toys work, I'm waiting for something big to fall off. :D

I saw the thread title and thought HA, my old derv shed will have loads wrong with it that I haven't got round to fixing...

So there's..... erm
erm...
Christ, there must be something I haven't fixed that needs fixing, I'm so lazy with my own gear.... erm.

Oh I got one, the LCD display on the stereo is a bit iffy.

That's IT!

Damn, just remembered the ashtray doesn't stay closed, but I've removed it so it doesn't count :D

Fiat Stilo.

Well i was feeling quite smug yesterday reading about all these problems with your cars when mine is working perfectly, but....

Just been out to fill the washers etc up, pulled the bonnet catch and the cable snapped.

I am now in a world of misery

cosworth:
the engine
the gearbox
the ECU

mainly coz it doesn't have them. :p

on my focus it has developed a rather worrying problem of that it has fuel starvation when it gets to just below quarter of a tank. Put £30 in and it's better but still happens (put foot down a lot and get to 4000 rpm it starts hsitating....). The effect of me putting fuel in i guess means it's not the coils breaking down under load but a sensor on the tank going wrong?
