So who's applied for 2012 olympics tickets?

Getting my mum to buy a few more tickets for my dad's benefit and the payment is taking an absolute AGE to process.

Done on the stroke of midnight and confirmation received. Woohoo!

I just layed down close to 1000 notes (if i get them all !), processed at about 5 mins to midnight. didnt get any slowdown myself. Have mainly picked football at wembley stadium as its walking distance from my house, some badminton at wembley arena, tennis and off course the 100m final, fat chance i would get it tho!

Just put in an order for a few tickets to the opening ceremony. I just hope this damn thing processes before 1am!

Is it possible to add tickets to your application? i wanted to add a couple of opening ceremony tickets but i dont think it is letting me.

Opening + closing ceremony, swimming, athletics, gymnastics, cycling.

If I get every ticket that's 15 sessions in all

With differing groups of people who'll stay - downside of having moved to just outside the M25 I guess :p

Have any of you read this

One person worried about this is Ruth, who has applied for £22,000 worth of tickets.
"What my husband decided was the chances of getting tickets would be low, so we applied to get our 20 lots, and he got his sister to do it and his dad to do it. So we've applied for all these tickets using up three people's quotas," she told BBC Radio 5 live.
"We're a family of four so we've applied for about 240 tickets. We're just really hoping that we won't get them all."

If your lucky you can sell them on....

Remeber that even though the Ballot is closed you can call up Thomas Cook on 0844 800 2012 and book tickets with hotels with them and actuly gurantee what events you are going to see rather than the ballot which was just a lottery.

Applications for more than 20 million tickets from 1.8 million people have been received. Not surprisingly there will be ballots:

That figure is more than three times the 6.6 million tickets available to UK sports fans for the event.

Organisers have also said more than 50% of the 645 sessions will go to a random ballot and that 95% of the applications are from the UK.

"We're thrilled with the response," said London 2012 chief Lord Coe.

Track cycling, rhythmic gymnastics, triathlon, modern pentathlon, equestrian (cross country) and both the opening and closing ceremonies were the first events to sell out.

Tickets for those sports will go to ballot, as will the majority of the sessions in swimming and tennis.

Who's had money taken then? I only applied for 100m finals tickets (along with everyone else) for the lowest tier and the one above that, figuring I could get the random events fairly cheaply anyway on the re-sale market. Nothing yet :(.
