Sold my 580's to friends yesterday and got two MSI 680's due for delivery this morning. I'm hoping it'll be a quieter and cooler set-up with them.
I soo want to order one, but I'm holding back atm...
Its looks shiny and new and fast, but in reality its a mid range card in high end clothing, and I already have a 580 which does everything I need it to. And for less money than the price of a new 680 I could update the rest of my system from i7 920 to SB/IB. So that's a new CPU, RAM & mobo, which seems like better value to me. Fighting the urge until GK110 arrives.

As soon as i went 1900 x 1200 i realised i couldnt play stuff in ultra any more with my 580, hence wanting upgrade. Wouldnt want to sli the 580 as just one pumps out so much heat and in a small bedroom this becomes a bit uncomfortable. Am hoping the 680's suggested cooler running will make a difference to this !
I am sticking with 580GTX, and wait for 780GTX next year.
Tell me, which games can't be run smoothly on 580GTX at 1080p with all settings at highest ? I can't think of any games.... then I don't see any reason to click the order button.

Not yet, although very tempted.
Going to try and hold out to see the next round of custom cooler cards, and also see how the pricing goes. If they slip to sub £400, that very well may force my hand.
My 6970 is doing pretty fine at the moment, the 680 would just purely be to put a couple of extra sliders to the right which shouldn't really be justifiable.

Nice one , im still bitter at XFX for ripping me off with a gfx card when i bought a just released 8800 ultra for many hundreds of pounds , it broke down under warranty and they refused to replace it as they didnt make it anymore and offered me £17 for my card, they are scum and gigabyte rock !!
