Nice Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens spiderling, I've got one on order just got to wait for the weather to warm up before I can get it delivered
 
Wow, brave people. I'm absolutely scared to death of all spiders.. no idea why I clicked on this thread. I used to be that bad that i'd go into shock even from pictures of them! Now I've progressed a bit and can look at them. What's the best way to get over my fears? I'm not keen on the idea of handling them, at all.

I hate spiders usually and can't bear to touch the bigguns but I've found this thread fascinating!

Sorely tempted to have a baby pider of my own but the female parental unit has put her foot down.
 
I was messing around the other day taking feeding videos...

The quality is a bit crap and the camera man doesn’t have a very steady hand :p but not bad for a first attempt!!

Bit unfair nudging the cricket to it's doom there :D

They certainly like their food those Vagans :)

They are quite quick, but only over a couple of inches, no stamina :D

Mine's sealed himself into his burrow to moult, a couple of weeks of pet dirt to look forward to :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Yeah I had to persuade the cricket to move as my camera will only record 30secs at a time and I had taken 4 movies with zero movement....

Your B.vagans looks about the same size as mine is currently, with about a 3 inch leg span..

I will wait until my P.ornata moults and starts feeding again before I make any more vids as she is a lightening quick & ferocious eater!!

I was thinking of popping over just to have a looky as Bristol isn't that far from me. Looking out of interest, not to buy....my GF would still kill me. :p

He's being a pleb. The BTS show is in Birmingham, not Bristol. We went to Bristol for the BTS lectures the other week.. he must be getting confused.

The BTS show is THE show to go to though. Well worth the journey, no matter how far you're travelling :D
