They are Nymph1 Poecilotheria regalis. They will shed soon and gain abdominal patterning but still have limited movement capabilities. A few weeks later they moult again and become fully functional, feeding spiderlings.

:D

Nice one Kate... does this mean you will have some available when they get a little bigger?

I only have new worlds at the momment and still no aboreals.

Yes, they're what will turn into the spiders' abdomens.. Whilst the spiders are nymphs, this part is the egg and provides all nutrition as they can't actually walk around or feed at this size. Two more moults and they'll be fully functional eating spiderlings though :)

And I put a 10p in there just to show you the size. They're not actually that small :)

N.B - No nymphs were harmed in the making of this photo

I saw my first Regalis in the flesh today and it really is a beautiful Tarantula. It was an adult and it had already been marked as sold in the the pet shop for £100!

Yeah i'm going to loan him out although G has asked begged bribed me to send it to him first then I think Brendan wants him after that. If everything goes well then I'll stick him up on the T Store to anyone else that wants him...

I'm not trolling or anything, just interested to know...why a tarantula? I wouldn't mind looking at one but wouldn't like to keep one or handle one, just wondering why this instead of some other kind of pet?
