In other news, Labour has condemned Friday's planned solar eclipse and promised that, if elected, they would freeze solar eclipses until 2018.

I have a welding mask but that might be a bit weird and I don't want to carry that around.

I used a welding mask in 99 and still have my sight, however I am no authority on this and there could be different grades of mask.

Depends, if it's shade 14 it should be fine and they are pretty common.

Check before you use.
