SOME RYZEN 7 1700 OVERCLOCKING!

I think HWMonitor and CAM don't report Voltages properly, in Bios the Asus auto was showing 1.437. I set a manual cap of 1.45 and when i rebooted CAM still show 1.55. CPU-Z is still reporting me as running 1.439.

Do either of you know how to OC Memory. I have the the G.Skill F4-300015D-16GTZR Trident Memory, 3000mhz @15-16-16-35.

Computer wont even post of i set it auto to 2666 or above. 2400 is the fastest it will boot at. But I doesn't let me change voltages the option is just greyed out, I can changing timings but that's it.

@AMDMatt Sorry to tag you in this! but i know you use the same memory but different model so thought you might be able to help =)

Useful link: http://www.overclock.net/t/1624603/rog-crosshair-vi-overclocking-thread
BIOS: Go DL 0082/83 or 0079
DRAM voltage: 1.45v
DRAM Boot: 1.5 [if you still can't post with just upping the DRAM voltage]
Memory speed:3000
CAS:14 or 16 if that won't work.

RE Voltage must be the BIOS version you're running, CAM reports fine for me but I'd recommend using HWinfo/monitor or CPU-Z Beta editions for Ryzen.

I can't everything is greyed out... unless i'm looking at the wrong thing, is SoC and Voltage under the ram section two different things?

You need to set AI Overclock Tuner to manual if some of your settings aren't available.

Set the following to manual too:

CPU Core Voltage: 1.4
CPU SOC Voltage:1.1

Turn off Performance Bias while you're at it.

I have just updated to the latest bios on the crosshair and now it won't apply my overclock does anyone have any idea why that would be, I'm setting my settings manually but when it restarts it loads the standard default, its saving the fan profiles fine but not the overclock

Use HWINFO64 or Ryzen Master Tool for temperature/voltage monitoring.

What Motherboard? Update your Motherboard bios to the latest available.

Ignore, read your sig. Use this bios, working well for me. http://www.mediafire.com/file/qouv19ojg5mzwtj/CROSSHAIR-VI-HERO-ASUS-0082.zip

I'm using the GSkill 3600Mhz kit at 3200Mhz.

CPUSOC voltage may need to be set at 1.175v or lower (default 1.000v) to get the system to post and gain stability with higher memory frequencies. DRAM voltage can go up to 1.5v if required.

Because new bios is buggy, they even removed all links to it...shouldve waited for feedback

I have literally no idea why they posted that as an official BIOS, unless:

A - They hate their support department.
B - They fixed the issues from the Beta release Elmor posted.

I take it people that have used that are still experiencing the issues?

As an aside, there's a new Audio package dated 27th April:

https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/ROG-CROSSHAIR-VI-HERO/HelpDesk_Download/

B: if there were any changes bios would have different number, elmor mentioned the other day, so it must be just asus website admins who are a bit slow...

It seems the BIOS is indeed still problematic and elmor has asked for it to be pulled from the website, seems someone jumped the gun.

TLDR, dont use 1106

Does anyone else have issues with master tools? Specifically that it doesn't read anything but temps? 1800x, speed for example just shows default flatline when it's running at 4.1.

Thanks I'll give it a go tomorrow.

Also do you know what settings to do for Cinebench?

I went through some previous pages and everyone is getting about 1700 im on 2200 =/ I think I have the wrong setting somewhere.

Got up this morning and I have a code 8 on the crosshair board and nothing I ave tried will get it out of code 8, anyone got any ideas I have tried to reseat the cpu, reseat the ram, 1 stick of ram, no ram and nothing has worked.

Check for bent pins? Remove GPU and try to boot, also you tried multiple sticks of RAM right?

Use Safe boot you should get in to the BIOS and see what it looks like, if all the hardware is showing ok then try resetting to default or flashing it. Assuming the CPU ready light is green yes?
