Something went wrong, ordered a Mustang, yet ended up in a British hotrod, I blame OcUK!

Well dual carriage way, they are in slow lane, nothing ahead of them, I am in the fast lane, not even behind them in slow lane they were probably doing 40mph on an NSL, I flew past of course at 70mph, I never break speed limit, but of course I guess to overtake is reckless and dangerous even though I was merely travelling in the other lane quicker than they were in the slow lane. But I guess maybe the noise scared them and if your doing double their speed its probably like a bang going off past them. :D

I do know I've being on the motorway sat in the slow or middle lane cruising along at 70-80mph and then all of a sudden I hear a might bang as a motorbike goes past in the fast lane at what must be double the speed I am travelling, its certainly made me jump out of my skin, but do I start flashing my lights at them? Of course not I just carry on with my day. :)

I'd welcome you to drive past me at double my speed, just give me a chance to put my window down first! :D

Nah flashing of headlights is just a normal reaction by anyone to being overtaken by a BMW :p

Oh and surely that's an oxymoron ?

"BMW, within the speed limit" :p:D;)

I drive sensibly in my BMW most of the time, its a classic dontcha know ;) - With that being said though, I do happen to know it will still reach its rated top speed of 135MPH quite happily... :o

THEY GET REALLY shocked when i overtake them in my Jazz, you can see their jaws fall open, it makes me laugh like a loony..

What I have noticed people seem to hate you overtaking them in this, even on dual carriage ways, I fly past and I get a frenzy of flashing lights, must be scaring the living daylights out of people, all I can say is I am doing my bit to wake people up on the roads, I should not be a surprise to them if they are checking their mirrors. :D

I had this with @agw_01 on NYE. Some guy in a fake 4x4 didn't appreciate being overtaken by a couple of Subaru's on a completely straight, empty road

Orange calipers should look great :)

This is absolutely beautiful! Colour is perfect. Nice one @Gibbo, I love the Mustang but this is leagues ahead in terms of looks and performance imo.

I am immensely jealous, a neighbour had one at my old place and the noise every morning was glorious

it should me miles ahead of his Mustang GT !!!!!!!!!!!! it's a much more expensive car with far more horsepower, you are not comparing like for like at all.

Hi there

So gone from this today:

It was a good looking car but for me I disliked the gloss black wheels and red calipers, as such I've changed both to a colour combination which suits me better. I also did small details like changing the wheel nuts from chrome to black and the wheel centre caps from red to black/chrome.

Really happy with the result, cocked up a little on the logo as did not centre it perfectly which was a bit of a boo boo, but once the wheel was on the car cannot really tell. For now left rears blank with no logo at all, might add something or may just not bother. Was hoping to just add "SVR" to them but can only find "R" logos.

Also when I joined the M1 this morning I got flashed twice, assuming a camera but upon looking down I was only doing 78mph so seems they have cranked up the sensitivity, shall see if I get a summons as the overhead gantries were not illuminated. :(

Also polished to remove swirls from the carbon parts and added a protective ceramic coating. All that is left now is a paint correction on the painted body parts and seal. Also trip their I averaged 31mpg for whole 150 miles and return journey was a door to door average of 35mpg which I am impressed by as there was quite some heavy traffic so parked on motorway. 300 miles and still just over a quarter of tank left, not bad for 600HP near as dammit. :)

Gantries are on 24/7 from what I've been told. Same with the ones on the pole.

Shame it got you, car looks much better with the new additions. It's crazy how subtle differences can make such a big impact.

Yeah its annoying as was just accelerating gently onto the motorway and around some cars to settle into a groove around 70mph and flash flash, obviously I creeped over though the car accelerates without trying, takes no effort am guessing it flashed me between 75-85mph as when I looked down was at 78, be interesting to see what the letter says if I get one, but of course hoping I do not get one. Crap that they don't even give you any warning they are on, after that I religiously watched the speedo and stayed under 70 for the whole of M1 lol.

Guess they got me, I await the give us £100 and here is 3 points and you get no prize. :(

Not necessarily, they do sometimes lose calibration and go off at a lower speed.

It happened to me twice in three days when I was doing a similar speed and nothing came through.

If you were really doing 78-80mph on your speedo, which will over-read slightly... then you are probably safe, as it’s very hard to get a speeding ticket on the motorway for less than 80mph actual speed.

And the fines aren’t just £100 anymore... they’re related to income.

If you don’t have any points, for that close to the limit if you did get caught, you might get a speed condescension course.
