Son excluded from school!

You might as well have just written "I AM A TYPICAL PARENT WHO THINKS THEY KNOW EVERYTHING ABOUT THEIR CHILDREN BUT GENERALLY DOESN'T" there.

This will come back to haunt you when they reach adolescence.

Except they are both adolescence'sss'iss. And as i say, #1 son is loved by Trading Standards, #2 is loved by the school...

My advice to the OP is to ask your child what happened, truthfully and then discuss with headteacher.

jon.bda You are a massive troll. There is no possible way you can be so immature and have kids.

Hmm, i know my kids, i raised both of them...how many kids have you got?.

You obviously don't know them well enough if you honestly blind to the fact that no matter how much you teach them they will still lie, it is human nature. I am a Parent myself. Take some good advice mate and quit getting so defensive and obtuse.

That kind of attitude is not a great example to be showing your children is it?

Excellent youtubing - I saw the same thing a few weeks ago but couldn't remember who it was :)

yeah couldn't find a more concise one with just that part, how do you embed youtube video ready cued up to a certain point?

I'm sure I've seen people do it.

If your son got suspended then is it not normal for the school to send a letter or call one of the parents to give their side of the story?

I've been suspended from school 3 times and I'm now at uni. It hasn't affected me in any way that I can tell. I was taken out of school when I was 16 and had to study my A-Levels on my own (wasn't in the country) and it sucked. It's much better to be taught at school than at home because the lack of contact with people your age :(

If I've said anything that's already been said my bad, I skipped a few pages D:

Studies found that children who do not lie tend to have subnormal intelligence levels.

I'm having this exact problem with my child at the moment

There's a school bully, school doesnt want to know about it. He's "been spoken to" etc.. He's not just bullying my kid, its loads of other. Typical school bully throwing his weight around. Stupid thing is that he's a thumb sucking baby as well. He's bullying others to detract attention away from the fact he still sucks his thumb at nearly 8.

My response ?

He's being taught to fight back.

I was bullied at school as a kid due to my weight. My parents always told me to ignore it and they would get bored of it.

They didnt, and it scarred me for life.

So i'll be teaching my son to nip it in the bud and get the point across to the bullies that he's not the sort that will allow this to happen, right from the get go (he's only 7)

Even if it does get him suspended for the day. That will be fine by me so long as he hit the bully hard enough to make the suspension worthwhile !

When you were suspended from school did they not let you back?

If you're going to slam his writing, at least put a comma in after "school", or better yet a semi-colon or even a question mark. Hell, put something in there.

;)

EDIT: Had a retarded moment. Leaving this for posterity in case anyone wants to point and laugh.

Today the school phoned up,and informed me my son was excluded for 1 day for quote 'scratching a pupil in class'!
He has never been in any trouble before,is top of his class in most subjects,is the least violent person I know.He loves school, and learning.
He has been pushed around and bullied on numerous occasions, and the school has done nothing, except 'have a word' with the kids involved.
Today, another kid tried to take my sons book off him and rip it,in his attempt to hold on to it they got scratched on the arm. That was enough to get him excluded tomorrow, and a meeting with the deputy head and head of year on Friday.
I'm very annoyed,as this will now go on his school record, and I think this will affect him in the future.
I'm seriously considering taking the home education route!
Cut your sons nails for a start!

Send him to boxing lessons.
This 100%.

Nope, i am actually a Gruffalo. My kids are older than for more years than for you have been on here...

Excellent. I couldn't care how old they are. You are an obvious case of where maturity is definitely not linked to age.

Excluded for scratching??? talk about people trying not to actually deal with the issue?
Sounds like schools never changed, I got excluded for a week because I got beaten up by three chav's in a science lesson, apparently I provoked and initiated the situation. I have still got the scars to proof that I some how picked a fight with three lads considerably bigger than me at the same time...
Have you phoned the school and asked why the other pupil hasn’t had a similar punishment for damaging your sons property??

If he is getting bullied by this little git, the best advice I could give is get him into either a team based sport or martial art. I learned kick-boxing when I was thirteen, oddly I never got bullied after that.
