Just because someone dies in a stolen car means nothing. A car is just stuff; usually covered by something called insurance. The car can be replaced, the people cannot. Also, you're more likely to crash your own car in an accident than you ever are likely to have it stolen.

£25,000 + thousands of pounds worth of damage to property + thousands of pounds for policing the incident not to mention endangering the lives of dozens of innocent people while driving like complete ****s. Society is better of without these people

Erm...

Yes I am for real. They're not scum. I had experience of people worse than petty thieves and I'd don't usually wish a bloody death on them. Like I said, its a car. You lot care more about someone else's money than you do someone's life.

Of course they cause disruption. No-ones disputing that. But it is not mass and whats the sadness (hassle maybe) in this particular case? Did they murder someone? No. But you're attitude is that life is better off without them anyway.

They're (minor) criminals that needed rehabilitating, not going up in flames over some stupid joyriding. If someone stole my car, I'd probably be gutted, but I wouldn't start up a crusade and I'd expect compensation from my insurance company.
 
I don't think for a minute it'll be easy getting compensation from the insurance company.

First of all, you'd still be paying for a car you don't have for AGES. It'd also be dragged out and the insurance company would have different opinions on the value of the vehicle. After you've endured the **** car they give you to trundle around in, you've then to go and find another vehicle. Yay, time consuming!

I'd not put much faith in the rehabilitation either. Wastes of lives that cause carnage should just be wiped from the face of the Earth.

Personally I believe the problem is that people don't _know_ they're making a choice, they just meader along thoughtlessly. A function of society is to set limits for people, and we don't appear to be setting limits.

Our criminal justice system (although I hate the word justice, it's so often misused) is being run into the ground by New Labour.

Perception is reality, and the perception is law and order is a joke.

If people were genuinely afraid of the consequences of breaking the law then there would be fare more "decisions" being made. And when it's all black and white and people know the consequences of their actions if they make the wrong decision then prison it is.

It is ridiculous because plenty of people have been plenty better off due to the death of very few in the past, and this is just another example.
