so you don't think it could be beneficial to understand why it happened in order to prevent future incidents? something they may never know if he was dead.
Personally I'd rather have him alive, what if this is part of a bigger plan?
No issue with him being killed after interrogation.

While you cannot prevent things happening, understanding why it happened before can help you to reduce the future likelihood.
by being aware of what leads people to commit such actions?
was he mental? needed meds? off meds? was he radicalized either by religion or by someone like Andrew Tate.
There must be a reason why he targeted a dance class off seemingly all girls? he didn't wander in there by accident
Without him being alive there are questions that would never be answered, and I'm sure the families want answers as well as justice.

You cannot write it off as ' a sick person ', you need answers.
In my ( unprofesional ) opinion this was not a random attack, as in the person just snapped, it was planned and targetted.
A random attack would be running though the nearest high street / shopping centre / busy place etc.. indiscriminent victims.
This was a back street target that the assailant must have known about prior to setting out.
Why children ? Was he co-erced / assisted ?
We need to understand the reasons and shooting him, although justified, would not answer anything.
Sadly, there’s little we can do. But making sure that social services, NHS and police are sufficiently resourced to allow them to be proactive is clearly the way to go.
I can only pass on second hand info from a friend whose partner works in that sector, but from what I understand the child protection services sector of Bristol got absolutely devastated by cuts over the last 10 years. Like, operating at 1/4 of its previous headcount or less :/
So far all we know is he has mental issues. I don't know why we're being told his personal medical issues, especially before any court proceedings have happened.
But I hope when it gets to court we're told the reason, even if it seems bizarre to us. Because justice is supposed to be seen to be done.
lol...police here got in serious trouble for kicking the head in for a man that was punching the hell out of them.

Whist I’d rather hang this scum. Hopefully he’s quickly shanked to death when inside.
I'm not sure if I agree or not but I will say armed police must have hell of a lot of self discipline not to have shot him knowing what he did. I would have let my emotions take over.

Sadly in this country the Guilty don't have to give a reason why they did it, the prosecution just have to prove they did it.
Mental health crisis, immigration, religion or not.
Who actually gives a crap.
If a civilian of a country has the ability to murder a child, then they serve no purpose for our country and deserve to be executed themselves. I could not care for what "state" you might be in, this is just an excuse for your disgusting behaviour, excuses are not justified reasons to commit said act.
Go away with this nonsense of life means life in prison, we need these people removing from society completely and clear consequences for all those who wish to commit the same.
Plus its easier to destroy than it is to rehabilitate, why waste precious resources on those who clearly will never benefit from the resources and lessons.
