I don't like McLaren or Hamilton, and think that they deserved a penalty but the one they got is too harsh.
Surely a suitable penalty would be to take away his fastest lap. Or start him 10th i.e last in that session.
Lol at some of you saying because its in Spain. You know that they have a permanent head steward, and the other aren't necessarily Spanish

I do think that penalty is mighty harsh though. 5 place grid drop or strip him of the fastest lap but back of the grid? Ridiculous decision.
If anything this has made the race more interesting. With the original line up it was highly possible for Hamilton to 'do a Vettel' and vanish into the lead.
What we have now is a Maldonado-train with a charging Alonso with a point to prove, 2 Lotus' looking for a win to make up for Bahrain, both Merc looking to prove China wasn't a 1 off, Perez looking to prove he deserves Massa's seat, and both McLarens well out of positition but considerably faster than those around. Not to mention the rather unknown pace of the Red Bulls and complete guessing game on tyre strategies!

the looks so professional, but the team is a joke.
they were practicing pit stops today, but without the full gear on, absolutely pointless.
To exclude him from qualifying altogether is disproportionate, he was quickest in both Q1 and 2nd in Q2 and on both occasions he had enough fuel to get back to the pits. They should have demoted him to start 7th as Vettel, Schumi and Kobayashi didn't register a time.
I am also annoyed as I had only put money on Hamilton to win an hour before the stewards inquiry (I missed the end of qualifying as the mrs was nagging me to go shopping!).

Not just this year, it's happening most seasons now. Strategy errors or stupid mistakes costing them big.
