Spanish Grand Prix 2014, Catalunya - Race 5/19

First thing my eyes saw was 2011 - Canada .. hit by button.

I thought Button actually apologised for that, citing that he didn't see him in the spray? It was a great race made possible by changeable conditions but that collision with Hamilton won him the race as much as the weather I think.

As for that exhaust, whacky races!!!

Bwaahahahahahaahahahaaaaa!

That exhaust! Omfg! Aaaahahahahahahaha.

I'd rather take silent engines than have giant hooters sticking out the back of the cars!

I didn't need to read anymore. Just another blinkered Hamilton fan like 90 percent of people on here. Hamilton tried to overtake someon who was on the racing line going for a gap that was never there having yet another of his epic brain fart moments... and a floundering button who incidentally went onto win thee greatest formula 1 race of all time after 6 pit stops and being pushed to the very back of the pack.

Never laughed so hard before, do you write comedy pieces for a career?

So a driver can move over and swipe the front off another car that is pulling along side just because they are on the racing line? The weather made that accident, had Hamilton done it in the dry Button would have been forced to not take the racing line. I don't think you can solely blame Button though as the weather was terrible but is laughable to blame Hamilton for that accident, just another blinkered Button fan.

That exhaust looks ridiculous :D. I haven't missed the noise this year and have been enjoying the new engines due to the extra torque they are kicking out. The V8s were always pretty whiny anyway. I've heard the V8s live at Silverstone and whilst the noise is impressive at first I'd rather not damage my hearing and ended up wearing earplugs.

As for Button my main problem with him is that he's just a boring driver, always moaning about balance and unable to drive around a bad setup and now blaming his rookie team mate for the poor setup doesn't come across well.

The truth of the matter is, Button just isn't good enough. Like Webber, he's an easy character to like, but he isn't up there as a top driver.

What do I know though, I'm just a blinkered Hammy fan. Funnily enough, I didn't like Hammy that much at McLaren, he seemed like a douchebag. That didn't detract from him being one of the fastest guys on track.

smr, tell me, who do you think is faster than Alonso and Lewis (car witholding) on the track? Do you really think Jenson is?

Got the info now. Chilton was on super-soft, Pic was on soft, Hamilton on Medium. I'd say that's still somewhat impressive from Chilton, but it was obvious that there had to be a difference. :p

It's good news for the Marussias. SS may be 1.5-2 seconds faster than Medium, but Marussia have been 4 seconds off the pace of Mercedes. If they could manage to make up even a second of that, they'd be close to the midfield.

When would any of you say, was the last race that Button was considered to have had an "Outstanding drive"?

Spa 2012? Didn't he pretty much nail the entire weekend?

Brazil 2012 was only won due to Hamilton and Hulkenberg colliding wasn't it?
