Spank.....guess the damage.

It is a Audi TT, not a veyron. Whilst it is a very, very nice car for someone of a young age it is a long way away from being a flame spitting widow making beast.

The damage had sod all to do with the type of car or the lack of specialist training how to use it. It was just a car parking ding probably caused by not paying quite enough attention. It still probably would have happened if she was in a Fiesta or Cilo or any other 'acceptable' young person's car.

Yes yes, we know, you think people aged 6 years old are totally safe in Veyrons, change the record.

The point you've missed is that he wasn't saying that the TT was dinked because its a fire breathing monster, more than training in how to be extra careful is required because when you prang it it costs a lot more to fix than a Punto.

You do not need special training to know that. The point you've missed is that the accident would have probably still happened in a Corsa, but I bet nobody would be suggesting specialist training if a 18 year old girl scraped the side of her 2009 1.2 Corsa Exclusive. Suggesting it in this case is a bit pointless.

If she found herself in a ditch on a B Road, perhaps, but a car park? Come on!

My girlfriend has never curbed any of my cars.... I don't let her drive them :-) (them being past tense, I have never owned any more than one car at any one time)

To be fair to Joshy he does have a point. It's not like trying to drive a big SUV round a car park (you should see some of the posts on one in Bath... soo many scrapes!). A TT is about the same size as a Golf isn't it? Not exactly big.

It may not be a Veyron, but an Audi TT is a very quick car compared to a nomal 18 year olds first car. My first car was a battered old metro which had about 60bhp! This is a 200bhp 30 odd k motor we are talking about here.
Whilst it may have been nothing to do with the performance of the car in this instance, there is nothing to say her next prang won't involve pushing it too hard on a bend and ending up the wrong way up in a ditch!

What's normal?
Not everyone has a total shed as a first car.
FWIW, when I was learning I only had access to my parents' cars, and both were around 150bhp. (143 and 163)
I never stacked either of them.

This comes down to inexperience, the fact its TT only makes it seem worse due the higher cost of repair. IMO at 18 she or any other person of that age should not be driving a car such as this, also what the hell was she driving it with no insurnace for? (Daddy can't be that rich or he would have insured it as well- probably didnt want a second mortgage). I would imagine the cost would be around £1800 - £2500 (we had our tt door reprayed due a manufact defect (just flatted and resprayed etc) although done under warranty the costy would have been around £600 according to the dealer .

I think it meant she wasn't going through the insurance route...? :o

Why was Mark suspended?

I wish I could say it was because he broke everyones irony meter after telling someone to work hard to get these kind of cars and that kids today are lazy whilst setting up his own kids with Maseratis and their own hair salons whilst one of which he has confirmed in the past, strives to not life a finger.

But instead he got mad at some troll for saying the money comes from a lotto win when infact he is in the Diamond industry according to him.

no insurance?

lets not even insult mark's intelligence by continuing down that route.

build up no claims discount versus a tiny payout, the former money can't buy

You've got fast cars, Women, diamond thieves, lottery winners, skiers..............

I don't know any 18 year olds that have a nearly brand new Audi TT personally. I know plenty young drivers with corsa's etc though. Let's face it, a TT is not your average first car. Most people start off with a shed to learn in and work their way up.
