I was simply questioning the whole "it's what us dad's do". No, it really isn't.

Spoken like a true father of a teenage daughter.

Oh no wait a minute you are the teenage / young adult son. Jealousy is a terrible thing.

You can never know it feels to want the best for your kids till you've had one. I totally agree with Mark here - if you've got the cash you would. You want the best for your kids.

Great you've found a 5 year old thread. Congrats.

You don't half make some daft statements.

Not really. It's just people like you who like to blow whatever I say completely out of proportion who seem to be a problem.

£1500 seems a lot for what is seems to be a relatively small bit of damage. I'm not sure what part of thinking that is daft exactly?

Lucky girl to have a Audi TT at 18. Damage wise it looks expensive, with it being a Audi guessing over £800 to sort it out. New door, side skirt and mirror.

You've just said you know absolutely nothing about the subject yet you think the repair cost is high. How can you think it's high when you know nothing of the subject?

I know sod all about landscape gardening so if I got quoted £300 to do my garden I may well shop around or get other quotes to compare, but I wouldn't say the £300 quote was high because I've just confessed to knowing nothing about the cost of landscape gardening.

Get out of bed the wrong side this morning?

Quite frankly his entire family can go around buying their kids 911's for all I care, good on them for getting on in life. Quite what sort of effect that will have on the said 18 year old is another matter.

To be honest, it's not really any of your business or relevant to this thread at all is it.

Alright. Let's repharse. I know a little bit about body repairs. £1500 sounds a bit steep

Does that little alteration make you feel better?

Oh come on there are always spoiled rich kids, I've got a classmate in uni which wrote off his mums Aygo in the first week of his license, so what does his daddy do a month later? He lets him drive his Audi A8 to uni every day. There will always be people richer than you :).

Unless your name is Carlos Slim :D.

I'm here with Mark, he is truely upset at his 4 day bannage, he was wondering who he could appeal to (read send a large manilla envelope filled with folding)?

yours, surrounded by bentleys, jags and diamonds xxx

Hmm I scratched the bumper of an r8 about a year ago which cost me £2800 (edit - it was £2300 just checked). I'm gonna guess 3k if a scratched r8 can produce that bill, thats based on the TT being a fair amount cheaper but there is also a fair amount more damage.

It doesnt' seem steep at all to me, a tiny dent/scrape in the rear of my 325ci cost £900, not including the hire car. No new panels needed.
