Can anyone recommend a simple 8"/10" tablet to run the Hikvision app? I wanted to mount the tablet on the kitchen wall so the wife and kids can see who is at the door and is always running at certain times of the day.
Can the Fire tablets run the app sideloaded? Not sure it has the official app on their store.

Experts, I've been waiting on a colourvu in grey, before I pre order this camera what do I need to check to see if this will work with my Synology NAS?
Thought I would update, had this running a few months now and all good. No issues with it at all. Was plug and play basically and I think a good price for what I got. Just thought I would bump this incase anyone ever comes across it.Cheers both, yeah you are right the wireless ones aren't particularly more flexible.
How does Reolink stand in the market, this looks a great deal https://reolink.com/product/rlk8-410b4/ and the cameras are well reviewed quite well on Amazon etc. £250 for 2tb NVR and 4 POE cameras looks solid deal.
Any word on these? I need one in grey too but no longer showing on that site.
Do not use the Cloud service (can take the 30day FREE trial to test it) stick an SD card in it, you still get 6 sec long triggered alerts from the cloud for free as well as continuous 24/7 recording to your SD card.
You will also have an Android (any mobile no doubt) App and Windows store App for your PC to view your cam (though PC version is more basic).
Need a two camera front and rear setup. I was looking at a Swann kit that appeared on hotukdeals but see people seem to rave about hikvision here.
I have no kit to start from and I'd like something that can notify me of activity on my phone.
Is there a bundle anyone can recommend?
Yeah reolink is a well known makeThink I found what I'm looking for
Want a camera to go on a shelf, buttery powered with SD card slot rather than subscription service
Anyone heard of a Roelink ?
You're welcomecool, thank you mate
You're welcome
And mine has a micro sd slot too
But too much bother to remove and read
The memory card whenever I want to look
At a clip
If it's a very low traffic area or a non WiFi camera sd card will probably be ok
Looks idealcheers
looks like its this one then
https://reolink.com/product/argus-2/
the Argnus 1 is only $10 less lol
battery powered
wifi
SD card
think thats the only one
Looks ideal
Just bear in mind the file size limit of whatever email client you use
I got Gmail to work by altering some settings in the reolink software to keep the clips under the size limit![]()
No problemthanks for the tip![]()
