Spec me a rice cooker

Right so, I just used the little cup that comes with the rice cooker for measuring the stuff and just grind down the salt flakes.

Its baking at the moment but I did use the ‘cake’ feature on mine rather than the white rice setting twice in the YT video.

I’ll see how it turns out if it doesn’t work to great i’ll try it again next weekend but stick it on twice via white rice.

btw, the way to check is with a chopstick or sorts, if the dough is raw then it will come up like a liquid.

I was just being an idiot during a complete brain fart. Had tooth pick sitting next to the cooker but just decided to push my finger in :D

*edit*

Turned out pretty good. It tastes similar to cakes in Japan.

The outer wasn’t as crispy as I expected it to be but it was as jiggly. Still soft, spongy and moist. I scoffed a chunk without even needing a drink.

Think next time I’d try the white rice mode see if it thickens the crust up a tad.

My first go on my new Mini Panda rice cooker. One cup of white long grain rice, filled the water to line to 1 as per instruction. I think the rice has come out dry and there was a tiny bit that crusted. Any advice for better results are welcome. @Feek you were right on that this rice cooker would easily fill two take away foil trays.

Legend, thanks for this, seems it is £188 with BF too, so no brainer... Appreciate it

Edit missed postage, but stlll makes sense, thanks!

One caveat...it should be fine, ask @dlockers as he has the same model, check its 120/240v and uses a standard kettle lead? In case it comes with a 2 pin lead then you can just swap it to a standard UK one.

Mine I got in Singapore and they uses IEC UK plugs.
