Spec me an LED Torch

Why? You got a refund. What have you got to lose with a future purchase?

That's why I use PayPal for all Chinese transactions - anything goes wrong, getting a refund is easy.
Sorry, just seen your reply.
It isn't just about getting my money back, it is about not rewarding a company with a crap attitude with future business. I shouldn't need to go to Paypal to get a reasonable result.
Lightmalls sell heavily in the UK so the expectation of return postage to china for faulty equipment at the buyers cost can't be reasonable?

Just got my Nitecore Tip delivered and damn its my new favourite light. Its so bright for its size. I now have multiple Tubes and kind of want a new Tip with the Nichia LED since the one I got was the Cree version.

Got it for £17 from fasttech, damn i love this!

Good morning torch and battery officianados :)

Mrs TB has just bought a headlight for evening / early morning runs (which I shall also be borrowing for similar MTB outings) but it came with two Ultrafire 18650 batteries which I have some concerns over

Can anyone reccomend / link some reasonably priced branded genuine 18650 cells please ? Ta!

Does anyone have any cheapish recommendations for a small LED torch for dog walking/keeping by the back door? Ideally it'd be pocket sized and run on rechargeable (USB?) batteries. Cost - as little as possible, but I'd prefer to pay a bit more for something that will last :-)

I've been looking at the BLF A6 on banggood, but the batteries that come in the kit don't get great reviews.

Cheers guys!

Damn you, I was happy with my NC Tube until you mentioned the Tip...

Is what true? It's a zoomable "800 lumen" torch that should be priced at £15 not £40. You will get far better torches for less than that, with a properly driven emitter at that too.

They've jacked the price up, then applied a discount to pull in the bargain discount hunters.

Countless torches have been posted in this thread which are better, and either priced the same, or lower.

You can make even the weakest of torches look bright in photos/video with the correct camera exposure settings. All of the torches I have seen in this thread are just as bright, if not brighter.

Ooof, guys forgive me for stepping into the thread as an absolute noob but there's too much for me to take in. Wondering if you could help? I'm looking to get my Dad a torch, been recommended a Fenix PD32 2016. Any good or is there better out there for similar/not much more? Happy to spend around £60-75.

One thing there would be a bonus would be if there was a rechargeable option. He had battery chargers, but would be tidier if there was an all in one solution.

Any thoughts?
