Spec me an LED Torch

Well my LED Lenser P7 finally died, only not in the way I was expecting, but due to no fault of its own. You see, as a bad owner, I'd left a set of AAA batteries in it for a stupidly long time and they eventually swelled up then split open and had "seized" in the barrel, so I had to virtually destroy the torch with molegrips trying to get them out.

Take care of your Torches folks!

New light incoming, fireflies stellar x4.

X4 Stellar came today and I reckon it's going to replace my fav torch from 8 years ago which was the 18650 Zebralight SC600 MKIII which has always been my go to light when I've needed one.

I went for the tan finish with the FFL351A 5000K 2800lms CRI95 emitter and the optional 6000mAh 21700 and lantern accessary.

It runs on the Anduril 2 UI so has stacks of adjustable features.

If anyone is after an EDC that packs a punch and doesn't take up much room check this one out.

getting into fishing big time and the darkness is looming, my dad gave me a head lamp that uses 2 18650 cells, im to used to 18650 cells been flat tops with my ecigs, but i need a spare set of 18650 batteries with button tops for the head lamp, any ideas of reputable sellers for button top 18650 batts?

i had a look at fogstar where i got my samsung ecig ones from years ago but they only have one button top battery from a brand i dont recognise.

samsung 30q 3000 mah 20 amp is the ones i have but usless as no button top, i tried and if im strapping lithium batts to my head i want them to be reliable like my ecig ones lol :P

Battery101 sell 30q's or look on aliexpress or banggood to get them cheaper.

just bought 2 of the button tops and a spare flat top for my boulder anker torch, dissapointed they were only the 15 amp variant and not the 20 amp ones i have on my ecigs but should work good for torches :)

how do you guys rate the anker boulder torch?

think im gonna relegate it to my fishing bag and use the cheapo 5 quid one i bought at the tackle shops check out as my main go to torch for silly stuff like behind my pc etc :)

the 5 quid one i took and stupidly didnt bring the head set saved my ass when i birds nested a multiplier reel in the dark earlier lmao

Any thoughts on Wuben E7?

Seems to tick all the boxes for me, USB C charging, can be mounted as head torch, magnetic base, ability to upgrade to bigger battery.

Had a look at what Olight offer nowadays and Perun series look good, however, proprietary cable defeats the point of upgrading to begin with and guess batteries also non standard too.

One of these for me...

Any recomendations for a torch that's usable as a headtorch? Mainly going to be used for DIY tasks (think head in the loft/in a wall/behind a cupboard etc), and maybe if out walking in the dark.
Rechargable via USB-C would be a nice bonus, but if the battery needs to be removed ot charge, that's not too much of an issue as I have a Li-Ion charger already.
I've got a couple decent handhelds, so doesn't need to replace those.
Not looking to spend much, maybe ~£20-£30.
