i have a twofish lockblock for the handlebars already and am not that impessed with it. it keeps wriggling loose during bumpy bits. am looking for a more flush helmet mount if possible

Duct tape is always an option.

When is Duct-Tape not an option?![]()

Mines come loose once but I think that was down to bad handlebar positioning. The one in my helmet has been rock solid.

. The XP-G R5 emitter sits within an alloy smooth reflector (excuse fingers!) with a glass lens and glow ring spacer.
How would this compare to the Ultrafire C8?
I fancy an XM-L torch too, even though my ShiningBeam S-mini XP-G R5 hasn't arrived yet![]()
With all the talk on this thread of 18650's I thought would do a mini 'dashboard' review on my 14500 torch

I purchased this torch for work use with the proviso that it was small enough to attach to my keyring. This way I am always with a torch as it is suprising how many journeys this has saved me going 'back to the van'

I wanted lightweight (50g) aluminium finish this time, as my previous AA torch's black finish wore away being in constant contact with the keys. This torch will hold both 14500 and AA which is quite versatile. But I will permanently use 14500 for this torch with a spare Xtarwp2 charger in the van.

The mcuc9c is 3 mode hi, lo, strobe with memory. The strobe is very annoying and I will be avoiding strobe for any future torchesThe XP-G R5 emitter sits within an alloy smooth reflector (excuse fingers!) with a glass lens and glow ring spacer.

Packs a punch for such a small torch and has proven very handy with use every day. I purchased this torch without reading reviews as it was a new product on manafonts website which ticked a few boxes and was added on a whim to a large order of cells, charger and ultrafire UF-980L

My main concern so far (apart from the 3 mode) is the quality of the bodies 'aluminium' finish which has already received a few dents after being dropped and I expect to be replacing this torch perhaps in 1 years time (if not before)
In the meantime I will continue to enjoy using this torch as it's size makes it so versatile to be always with me should i need it.

If you want something that will withstand key carriage, then you really want something made of stainless steel like this:

Titanium would also be good, but *expensive*.![]()
. Yes titanium will be too expensive for a work torch but how about aircraft grade alu?106 g !!....... that's over twice the weight. Yes titanium will be too expensive for a work torch but how about aircraft grade alu?
Nice review ThriceNightly, looks like a decent little torch! Added it to the list![]()
...my first review. There's no such thing as "Aircraft grade aluminium"
