Spec me an LED Torch

Good video. Changed the LED in a cheapy chinese single 18650 as a test the other day. Just a different colour. Ordered a beefier XML2 to try to see if it will up the output. Not sure how the driver will handle it!

Just got myself a LED Lenser i7R to replace my previous P5.2 Pro, as I wanted something that little bit brighter, but rechargeable. Big fan of the variable focus on LED Lensers, and on this model they’ve introduced a lock feature with the variable focus, which should be useful.

I just got the Mrs a Lenser T7.2 Tactical to replace her Cree 18650 cheapy. Used it couple of time on the dog walk, and the zoom is quite impressive. Nice powerful spot when zoomed, and large rounded beam when at max flood.

I like it a lot, I do prefer my torches 18650 based, but the Mrs wanted something smooth, bright, adjustable, and not too big/heavy. This seemed to fit the bill perfectly, as it's 4x AAA mean it was using 6v on disposable AAA's and 4.8v on rechargables. So, able to hit a bit more power in a similar package than a single 18650 light.

Got myself a ThruNite TN4A HI shortly after Christmas.

Wow! What a thrower! Makes going for nightly dog walks over in the hills where I live fantastic.

Of all the modes (moonlight, medium, high and turbo) I tend to spend 95% of the walk in medium. Plenty of light where I can see into the distance with the occasional spurt in high.

Turbo light output and throw distance is just insane from 4xAA batteries. It's like the sun has suddenly risen

I’ve got one on order, they’ve only just started arriving in the US haven’t seen anyone in Europe get one yet. Mine says the same as yours.

The expected shipping date was the 12th, I expect they’ll ship this week.

I think the TN30 is quite floody because it’s a multi emitter. I’ve just ordered a TC20 which would be worth a look for you - more up to date single emitter with a 26650 battery and USB recharging. Also a lot more compact.

Sounds good, a few more weeks will be bearable if I know it’s coming. Currently still waiting for a 3d printer I ordered from China in November!

wow impressive from this video footage. Makes me question the point of buying anything else, (not that many are needing 200 metres of light for their daily walk

) I thought AA couldnt do that well

So my Convoy S2+ finally arrived but I can't get it to work.
I've tried 4x charged 18650s in it but getting nowhere.
Is there something I may be missing?

Go over everything and make sure its in full contact. I can faintly remember getting a non working torch like that, something wasnt fully screwed in maybe the cap or the switch but it was simple
