Saw it last night. I was looking forward to starting a thread here quite smugly saying 'ha ha, I saw it first'. It was so bad I didn't have the balls to do it.

Some parts I really did enjoy but for the most part the plot is thin and has major holes (The parasite for starters), the creation of the bad guys is poor and the way spidy defeats venom is dissapointing. I wanted to see hiim beat the crap out of him with that pole...
 
Just saw it and..............

Avoid this movie it is really dire.

SM2 was incredible. SM1 was good. SM3 is really really poor.

The story is lame muddled & tired. You will be so bored after 10 mins and wanna walk out (I nearly did).

The VFX are average and not one action sequence comes close to SM2 in leaving you with a feeling of awe.

The music by Christopher Young (Danny Elfman quit after SM2) is really bland and unimaginative.

This movie will feel like a major let down to anyone over the age of 12-13 (its target audience I guess). The entire movie feels so tired and they should let it rest for a long time if this is the best they could come up with.

The best things in the movie are Topher Grace (who only has what amounts to a cameo anyway as he is only onscreen maybe 5 mins) & James Franco (but even his acting is a little forced in places).

In 2 weeks no-one will be talking about this it is so forgetable.

If you go in with low expectations then maybe it will not feel like such a huge let down.........
 
Saw it at 1pm today. Its a good film that follows the new cartoon series. However I didnt expect what happened at the end to happen ;)

I guess we dont get Carnage in number 4 :P
 
Going to the 11:30 showing tonight, looking forward to it. I never saw any of the other Spiderman films at the cinema, instead waiting for the DVD release. But Venom just looks to cool to miss :p
 
It wasnt so much a bad film, just not very good :p

SM1 + 2 i really liked.

This was just...well dire - story was all over the place and they had some very random scenes.... (Peter walking down road + Jazz bar)

Found the acting pretty dire aswell!

Should just watched a pirate copy!

Went at 8.20 , was told the 2 8.30 shows were sold out AND the 9.30 one :(
might go tomorrow!

i absolutely detested the bit where he is walking down the street strutting, and the dancing

and sandman basically became a nice guy at the end.

the harry osbourne turning good i liked tho

Heh did you go to the Odeon in Huddersfield? Me and some chums went there, I got tickets at about 20:15 :)
 
one word LONG (lost the feeling in my legs by the end)

never seen a whole entire cinema groan when the ending was ment to happen then dragged out another 10mins, followed by everyone standing up similtaneously and giving out a sigh of relief when it did.

Was the worst part of number 2, x 10. to much soppy crap storyline, and comedy moments and to top it off bad casting.

recommendation - wait for dvd. :)

Never seen the cinema's so busy!! On every half hour here and everyone will be full-

I liked it as a movie but no way near as good as the first two! First off its way to long and not enough action. The last 20mins of the film is the best part as thats where some of the action is.
Bit of a let down overall but still a good film (think I and everyone else hyped it and expected waaay to much from this :( )

Make your own minds up though :)
 
I thought it was good, but too long and a few bits of bad acting and random scenes. The first and second was better than this attempt. Even some of the CGI looked a bit fake, especially during the very first fight scene, between PP and HO.

i'd rate it a good 8/9 outta 10. tbh who cares really about the CGI Graphics? i mean it doesnt look THAT bad.
