Celtic really poor in the second half but main talking point will be the dive for the penalty to distract the Celtic fans instead of the teams performance. Some of the challenges by both sides were shocking too.

Thought Rangers played quite well, Celtic lost their way in the second half. Unbelievable that the referee gave the penalty.

I don't blame Collum for messing up the penalty decision as he was blind sided but what I find more disturbing is that the other officials where silent on the matter whereas they have been pretty quick to alert the referee about penalty claims in recent weeks.

Rangers deserved their win as Celtic's tactics seemed to go nowhere in the second half. I feel that the penalty may become rather important come the end of the season when it may boil down to goal difference.

Solid performance by The Rangers even though i felt we looked a little jaded after our midweek exploits in the Champions League.

I felt the opposition were very poor today and some of the tackles they put in were simply disgraceful. Lennon needs to learn theres more to running a football team than hating he opposition. I assume this lack of discipline is his idea of "bringing back the thunder"?.

As for the penalty, you have no one but to blame for the centre half guy who caused it. The rules state you simply cannot impede an opposition player. He did, was penalised for it. End of story as far as i`m concerned.

;)

Stonewaller. :)

Why does the defender put his hands on Broaders? Silly thing to do.

I agree it was soft but a soft pentalty is still a penalty none-the-less.

It's clearly a dive, but I'd imagine with so many big decisions seeming to go Rangers' way in matches some supporters feel the need to come out with daft reasons to argue they're correct.

I thought Rangers played pretty well, Celtic only have themselves to blame for the first 2 goals, and ultimately didn't create enough chances to win the match. The penalty was clearly never a penalty though and the game was over as soon as Miller converted it. Terrible decision for the referee to give when he had his back to the incident.

Forget the penalty. It was 3-1. Not 2-1. For a team in the financial state we're in I think 9 wins in a row is incredible. The best I was hoping for at the start of the season was to be at least within sight of Celtic at the end. Walter Smith is showing yet again that he really is the master of this game. McCoist couldn't be having a better apprenticeship.
Lennon on the other hand is a depressed ginger who learned his trade from Strachan :D

Stonewaller my ass. Gloat while you can lads as things can change very quickly.

And if it doesn't then Lennon will be off after the New Year derby. We're already seeing fans turn against him after the four important games that Celtic have lost under his leadership. With the money they've spent on players in the summer I doubt the board will want to risk losing out on Europe next year.

Ally McCoist will have a very difficult job next season though once Walter Smith leaves as I don't think he has the experience that a team like Rangers will demand.
