Splatoon - Wii U

Just got the .52 cal weapon so im hoping for good results, i seem to be going up against level 18-19's now and im a lowly level 5 lol

Got the paint brush and played a few games with it and hated it.

I wish you could change weapons when you spawn after death
 
Really falling for this game the more I play.
Helps that theres a bit more content now too.
Its amazing how fluid & natural the movement & fighting blends.
Pleasantly surprised that this has sold well, I really thought it was going to be a great game & sink without trace, what with the wierd squids & everything but looks like its a hit.
 
I'll have to try ranked once I get all the unlocks.

I play this once a week if that though so I'll be a while off.

Seriously, just jump on ranked. There are some absolutely dire players and some absolutely brilliant ones. If you're even halfway good, you'll be fine up till B rank. It can be 3 or 4 days between plays for me and I've got to B rank (nearly B+) without much fuss.

I only really use the Aerospray and .52 Gal Deco. Sometimes I treat myself to Dual Squelcher or the Krak-On haha.

EDIT: I will say that I do much better playing at 9/10pm than I do in the afternoon. Lots of Japanese players with rollers making people look very silly in the afternoon time!
 
Finally got around to buying this and im really enjoying it! Level 5 at the moment im loving the roller :) anyone still play this heres my nintendo id: abbyabs.
 
Yeah, as with the inkling girl/boy amiibo's, the Squid amiibo adds a set of challenges and completing them unlocks some gear and an arcade minigame. I think the minigame is...

basically a sound/music test for the game but you tap buttons to the beats
 
I'm also enjoying this game... but I have a general question about the online on the Wii U

Is there some way to change your display name? My nintendo id itself is similar to my username on here but the game insists on putting my first-name from my Wii U login instead when I play online - which is a bit annoying... What's the point of letting you setup an online id and then not actually use it?
 
Yeah you can change the nickname anytime. I think you tap your Mii avatar on the Wii U Home Menu, and you can edit it from there somewhere. You may need to choose Edit Mii or something as it's the name of the Mii that is used.
