No I meant if its a lighting circuit with other stuff on it its probably too much

If its a lighting circuit it should be limited to 6amps at the circuit start (fusebox/CU) so you would need to check that

You dont put AC unit on a light circuit.. ever. Let your installer worry about the electrics.

I have had a quote for 4 indoor Daikin Perfera units, £8k, London suburbs. 3 units will be on external wall, one will be run through the loft, this includes electrics.

I'm going ahead, install at the end of July.

I have external power running along one side of the house to a fish pond, this is no high output cooker feed, probably just a ring for lights.

Also to add, your unclear if your talking about a self install or installer one

The self install units unless they are very large send power from the indoor unit to the external as part of the cabling set (multi core "power/comms" cable, 2x refrigerant lines, water drain) so you need to power it up from inside the house not outside

Yep, I would just like to use the existing cable if possible because the CU is far away from the installation room if they recommend a new dedicated feed.

It deffo shouldn't need a dedicated feed pulling around 1kw, a fused spur from the mains is most likely

To be honest, Im not fussed with the delayed installation. It gives me a chance to clear the loft. Certainly dont want to be doing that at the moment, got to 40 plus up there at the moment.

I once had a job where the avionics test gear we made needed a 24 hour heat soak in a 55°C chamber. It was always a grab and dash moment and we always had a lookout watching through the glass panel in the chamber door to make sure we were done and out safely ASAP.

Being almost near zero humidity inside the chamber, even a minute would feel like the moisture had been sucked out of your skin.

Yes, even better when we can use them on the night tariff to heat the house for the morning. It works out so so cheap.

Most of not all decent modern systems will, yes, but do check.
There's zero reason to get a system that doesn't... You don't have to use it but it gives you more flexibility.

Yeah the one I bought is approx 3.6kw in cooling but 4kw in heating mode
Pulls more juice in heating mode as well
Handy backup and another way to use some energy when octopus does the free energy sessions

And the usual BUS rules apply, so you only get the £2500 grant for A2A if you also remove your gas boiler at the same time.

It's realistically not going to apply to the vast majority of households getting AC installed.
