***SPOILERS*** Football 11th-13th Dec '10

1 goal or 10 you only get 3 points! Some of you lot must be on a wind up mission to be coming out with this rubbish after beating one of our title rivals.

Just because you won the game that doesn't mean you therefore played well.

A good win but far from the best performance in the world. It was a very scrappy game.

I know, it was pure idiocy.

I would be very happy if Wenger was promoted to Chairman of the board or Chief Executive in charge of Youth development until he dies. We need a manager who will spend some money when needed. There is reportedly nearly £100m sitting in Arsenals' bank account and they will be debt free by the summer. That means we will be accumulating ~£30m a year before player sales come into account.

We NEED two centre backs of Vermalen quality, a Defensive midfielder of Gilberto quality, two wingers who can hold a candle to Pires/Ljungberg in their prime and David Villa.

Woah dont get me mistaken with a Shamikebab I'm not having a moan but DM is right Arsenal were shocking tonight and had it not been for some bad decision making for the likes of Nani and Carrick we really could have sent out a real message

1-0 will do me fine though

I honestly couldn't give a hoot about the keeper, a keeper is nothing to do with why we can/can't win a cup to save our lives at the moment, there are FAR more important things, Fabianski, Almunia, the polak, and dude whose out on loan whose name eludes me right now, all are MORE than good enough to scrape into 4th place every year.

Of today, Chamakh, Song, Sagna, Koscielny aren't good enough to win titles with, 4-5-1 won't win us a title with any combination of players we have, RVP has played full games already, so why couldn't he play today? Wenger has this thing, Chamakh was playing well, and he'll basically be first team till he's injured, thats how Wenger works. Chamakh's first 10 games vs his last, are night and day, even though he's got the odd goal still its the interplay, the bringing Arshavin, Wilshire, Nasri, Fabregas into the game with his good holding up and strong forward play, its non existant, he's been completely useless for quite a while now.

Clichy is starting to look more and more like he's not up to the task of a real title push, though with a proper attacking team that gets in the box and plays the left wing like old(pires/left back working the wing properly) he'd still fit in well, as a world class defender for a team whose defence sucks and in a 4-5-1 where we don't play the wings properly, he's wasted/not good enough defensively. Yes he got some good tackles in on Nani, he also got the deflection which caused the goal and gave away the penalty(very unlucky, nothing he could do but it still happened).

Honestly I don't think ARshavin/Nasri are right for the club either, mostly because neither are even close to being wingers, Arsenal have no wingers, at all, not a single one. Nasri has got goals, but he's been anonymous apart from his goals, completely uninvolved with the rest of the games lately, he's playing as a striker who turns up for 5 minutes of a game, he's ALWAYS been far more effective the closer he is to goal.

EDIT:- they are both VERY good, but in a starting eleven, be it 4-5-1, or 4-4-2, neither has a place. Best strikers in the world to be played as your first 11 to win cups/champs league, not a bit. World class wingers, nope, Arshavin in Fabregas's role if Fabregas left, sure but Fabregas is better than both and Arshavin is too small for such a influencial role. I'd play both, and often instead of fabregas, as strikers here and there, but neither would make it into a world class starting 4-4-2 formation anywhere.

Rosicky, well, that should be obvious, I forgot to include how bad he was(and has been) before, because I forgot he was playing. NOthing worthwhile at all and I said several games ago, he's become quite a, well, he fouls a heck of a lot more than "Arsenal" players generally used to..

Rio for MOTM, he should have been sent off, and he had nothing to do. Utd's defence wasn't solid, ARsenal offence didn't turn up, at all. While Rio didn't mean it or intend it, and he was looking at the ball, thats no excuse for jumping with your leg and studs sticking straight out, its incredibly reckless and should easily be a red for being a dangerous/reckless tackle.

It wouldn't have made the blindest bit of difference. You could have played Bebe in his place and you wouldn't have noticed.

Did I read the stats right that Herdandez has scored as much as Nani - if so this is exactly why Nani is so ******** infuriating ( proven tonight)

This is why Utd need a better winger (I honestly think it will be Valencia on the right, +1 on the l
left, and if anything Nani as spare)

Nani has scored the same amount of goals as a striker  and isn't he the top provider in the league?

Nani is only 3 goals away from the top goal scoring midfielder in the league who is Tim Cahill who more or less plays as a support striker. Nani is also top of the assists in the Premiership with 11

Yes he was frustrating tonight but it's only because Clichy was there for the taking so he was just trying to do everything on his own, Nani will learn he's still young

Joint top provider with Chris Brunt, scored 1 more than Hernandez, but has scored circa 700minutes more.

He's had a good season but not outstanding, not a huge statistic but, Nani has only scored/assisted against two top half teams if I'm reading it right, Spurs and Liverpool, and the pool assist came when Liverpool sucked balls at the start of the season.

So against top half opposition he's only got 1 goal and 2 assists. So thats 4 goals, 8 assists against the bottom half.

Thats excluding today, he really should have two assist today, penalty and the goal, not sure the goal will actually count as an assist for him.

Nani has FOUR years experiece, why do you think he will get any better?
Only 3 goals further off at 1/2 point in the Championship.....so only 6 off ....at best ... in May......sorry Utd should be aiming higher imo

Because this point last year he had THREE years experience and has got a lot better since then?

People were ready to sell Anderson not so long ago, look how he's performing at the moment. It's very much the cool thing on here to completely rule out the chance of a player improving if they haven't lit the world alight in a couple of years.
