***SPOILERS*** Football 30 Apr - 2 May 2010/2011

"I didn't think we started playing until we lost a goal to be honest," Sir Alex told MUTV. "It was a very low-key performance up until then.

"In fairness, I thought it was going to be a draw but they got a goal from their only shot on target so it was disappointing.

"It's difficult to say we were tired when you see the effort the players made in the last 30 minutes. It was huge. They've run themselves into the ground and tried their best in terms of effort but we never started playing until then."

Yeah strange that they didn't look that tired when they only played for 30 mins :p

Whether Utd did or not - Utd still deserved at least two penalties without even considering that Chelsea didnt deserve to win yesterday and yet still did.....

From what I was watching Tottenham pretty much disappeared in the second half and Chelsea were all over them.

It depends on what you mean by 'deserved', whether they played well during the match, or whether the decisions should have been given the way they were given.

If you consider legitimate linesmen decisions - neither Chelsea goal should have been allowed, simple as that :)

I am not sure how any football fan can blame the winning or losing games purely because the other team had a situation go their way. I bet we could find a 100 decisions a season for every team that the refs or linesmen get wrong. That is football!

Watch a season of games controlled by the computer on Fifa or PES if you want every decision the ref and linesmen make to be right.

Well done Arsenal....bit late for a charge but made me smile for a day! :D

True that. Just like Vidic should have been sent off/red carded and Owen should have had a penalty/freekick.

Even on FIFA/PES, there are some godawful decisions.

It happening to all teams is no excuse.

Arsenal, dominated yet created smeg all, and I can't help but think its because utd were no where to be seen in the first half. While Ramsey and Wilshire's passing was great, and their movement, and general all round play was also excellent, its hard to tell how good they were as Utd's midfield inparticular were pathetic.

Theo and Song were great in the first 10 minutes, Theo may aswell have sat behind the goal for the rest of the game, as per usual, while Song decided to get back to his sideways passing and ridiculously pointless fouls giving Utd a chance to shoot, pressure and keep it out of their half for a while, as per usual. Nasri was woeful, contributed nothing, ruined a lot of attacks and went off at half time, Arshavin while he didn't create a lot going forwards was massive for us in the second half elsewhere on the pitch, where Nasri has sucked balls all season.

Vidic, I find it laughable people were saying maybe he should get the PFA, a guy who routinely resorts to rugby tackles, handballs and all manor of shirt pulling in the box as he's consistantly caught out, should have walked for the umpteenth time this season but got away with it.

City, I worried for West Ham as the bottom 4 are all so close goal differences, 25mins into the game and predicting an utter thrashing wouldn't have been over reacting. Fantastic performance late in the first and the entire second half, maybe deserved the draw. Yet again though, most of the first half panicking and punting the ball downfield, later on they got the ball down, passed it and got back in the game. They can be very good passing, long ball and relying on defence, they are attrocious.

Silva, again despite hearing how brilliant he is I thought his passing, shooting, general all round play was rubbish and missed the joint easiest chance of the game, Keane missing the other one. Hart went down early and Keane didn't even shoot till Hart hit the floor, why he didn't chip him or just take it around him I have no clue, that could prove insanely costly to West Ham.

Have to say after all the lolling and ripping of Arsenal as bottlers by the Utd fans on here would be pretty comical if Utd drew a blank this season too :p

Not all of us have been, and I really wouldn't be surprised to see Chelsea lift the title now.

How many mistakes have refs made this weekend that has cost teams hugely? Too many, thats how many.

Vidic cleary hand balled it.. no pen.
Evra got pulled down.. no pen.
Owen got a stud in the back of his leg... no pen.

I can't believe we had a 15 point lead on chelsea and now they could be even come next sunday.

Has there been one consistent team this season at home and away? UTD almost have a 100% record at home but away is a different story.

btw, Chelsea are on a 5 game winning streak in the EPL. Talk about coming back from the dead, even if with Torres in the worst form of his career.

Has he?

He asked has any team been consistent in both their home and away form, and listed United as being consistent in only their home games...

Considering Utd are top of the league and haven't been consistent, yes he has. Unless of course he literally means consistent (good, bad or indifferent) rather than consistently successful.

We are lucky to be top... we have Chelsea and Arsenal dropping so many points to thank for that. Arsenal have only won 6 points out of a possible 15 in April and the last home game (EPL) they won (except today) was on feb 23 against stoke... and we all know what happened to Chelsea, yet, they have fought their way back into.

I'm pretty sure Carlo admitted that the title was out their reach a few months ago. Now look at where they are.
