He cant get it right every time, last week Fergie was the man, this week you lot are questioning him.
Doesn't being 'the man', by the very definition of the word, imply that he's fallible? He cant get it right every time, last week Fergie was the man, this week you lot are questioning him.
I'm going to think outside of the box on this one Bazzy boy, and plump that he meant 'consistent' as the good old dictionary would mean it.
Strange that United were entirely comfortable up until the baffling decision to sub Anderson for Valencia and move Park into the middle.
Who then straight away lost the ball, then failed to track his man right up until he slotted the goal home.
Yes, the game needed changing up, but Park in the middle?
When has that ever worked?
And what had Park done over Anderson in the match other than do entirely nothing?
Strange decision is strange.
United lose to Chelsea..
Then away at Blackburn..
and at home to Blackpool..
Chelsea beat United...
But then lose to Newcastle at home...
and Everton away...
And Arsenal win two of their games but lose the other..
And City win all 4 of their games.. we win the league no?
1. City - 74 points..
2. Chelsea - 73 points..
3. Arsenal - 73 points..
4. United - 73 points...
I'll actually agree with you for once that was mind boggling as was the starting XI tbh, Arsenal haven't beaten us for years once we figured out that they're useless against us when we match them up 4-3-3 but for some reason Fergie stuck with 4-4-2 todayI can only imagine it was down to a lack of Scholes (suspended), Giggs (rested) & Fletcher (not match fit) being available.
Even with the 4-4-2 though they weren't troubling us until Anderson was taken off, personally out of him and Park I'd of said the latter should have been subbed if anyone anyway, as it was Valencia was crap when he came on as well.
Interesting they thought Clichy should've been shown a red. Wasn't last man was he?edit - Daily Fail admittedly but interesting reading none the less
Thought Valencia did ok and worked hard, did a lot of tracking back and forth but admittedly his crosses werent effective as usual
Not really, it's a fair point that most clubs haven't been consistently woeful or good throughout the season.Bit of an odd post if he simply meant that, don't you think?
There are plenty of sides that have been consistently poor home and away this season.
And that last sentence there is you 'answering his post' rather than him doing so, which was my original point.![]()
I hope the suggestion that words mean what they mean isn't too 'out there'...That's if he meant what you're suggesting. When people talk about consistency in football, I don't think they mean consistently bad.
I always had a soft spot for Wolves but the game against Everton sort of summed them up for me, had by far the better of the first half but a lack of concentration (and luck) meant they went in 3-0 down at half-time...Wolves should have done better yesterday, especially with Birmingham down to 10, was hoping Wolves would have got all 3 points to keep it interesting down the bottom.
