Spring meet 5th April 2014

u aint seen my jacket, supposed to be white but stupidly put it in a hot wash n now its all grey:(

im tempted to come but im on my feeble zx6

Aye screw it, Short of the impending apocalypse I'm definitely up for this, I'm sure ill get laughed at for my white and grey textiles that are now a lovely dark grey colour due to the weather recently.

Suzuki DL 650.

Updated OP, and if I don't have new boots, you lot can laugh at my VERY worn Sidi boots which now have the toes covered in black duck tape to stop water getting in... They have truly gone past their expiry date. Hoping to pick up some heavier boots at the NEC show in Feb though.

Feeble? There are smaller bikes than yours, and we will all be taking a casual ride along A/B roads, wouldn't worry about speed being a factor, won't be much if any speed breaking.

agnes at the spring meet?

If the roads are dry... Maybe :P I might go insane like I did on my 1098S at the last meet. God that road was fun!

Or could be...... (40 seconds in...)

Ouch :( Poor guy. He was entering all the corners either too late or too early... Odd riding style, didn't feel like he was comfortable with his own pace. Also, using the brakes mid corner is never a wise thing unless you know you got the grip there lol.

Anyway, if my girlfriend joins, I can almost guarantee my riding style will be much more relaxed lol. The Multi loves to bring up the front wheel when you so much as sniff at the throttle when someone is on the back... I need to sort the suspension setup.

So basically what you mean is your are going to spend the whole day on the back wheel and at every stop your misses is going to be giving you grief :D

Please put me down as a maybe on a CB1000R. I have something else pencilled in that day, but wouldn't be surprised if it gets delayed/cancelled.

Might be handy video for some to watch -

Will the corner man system be used, or we just hope everyone knows the way? :)

My system is usually: Keep up or wait for others. Corner wait and point is a good idea.

If common sense is applied then usually don't lose anyone, especially if there's only 10 people.

Good video though, looks like a good system!
Though i do not advise the type of the overtaking in that video that occurs at 4:34 - 4:41. Thats kind of idiotic.

Yea, last time we didn't lose anyone, at one point it broke into 2 groups for a short time. But common sense normally prevails.

We will stop off for petrol at least halfway where we can chill for 30 minutes allowing anybody lost time to catch up.

The part on that vid that stuck out most for me was the fill up even if only half full.

Many times mates of mine when I used to ride in groups wouldn't bother filling up if they had half a tank. This slowly resulted in multiple fuel stops for the entire group. If everyone is full, everyone can achieve the same distance if it's reasonable. Typically, if you need fuel, just signal someone and they can normally signal ahead and so on so the leader knows to stop for fuel.

So how many people have cameras and are taking them? I have a Drift HD that kind of still works but may try and get a Drift HD Ghost before the ride out :)

I have a GoPro which I bought a year ago for mountain biking, snowboarding and general holiday stuff.

Only just started motorbiking so haven't used it whilst riding yet, probably will bring it to the meet.

Need to get a few more batteries as have no way to charge them on the go and they only last for around 2 hours at most :(

I'll most likely be up for going, anyone planning on staying over the night before in that B&B down the road from H cafe again?
