Stalker 2

I've found the stamina system is just killing this game for me. Even buying all the weight saving upgrades/stamina upgrades/drinking enough energy drinks to kill a horse and trying my best to not pick up much it feels poorly balanced and sluggish.

I was enjoying it initially and thought I was a good way through but only about a third it seems. It's got very repetitive, walk through brown forest to generic industrial building, finish generic mission, drag my heavy ass all the way back to base, do next generic mission.

Occasionally shotgun a mutant bullet sponge.

Next mission is 1km away.....nope.
I get it but I think maybe it's just not your kind of game. I enjoy just walking across the wilderness taking in the atmosphere and getting immersed, so the distance you have to travel doesn't bother me and I'm in no rush to get from a to b. I also allow myself to get distracted by stuff and go with the flow.

I logged out because I was carrying too much stuff I didn't want to dump, and there doesn't seem to be any stash anywhere near me.

I just can;t be bothered to load in and auto run for however long and I don;t really wanna be hassled with installing mods.

The games awesome if you only have a pistal, some other gun, only the ammo you need etc and you move about silly fast...

takes barely any weight before your character starts to get slower and slower.

Sometimes I've just used like 20 bandages in a row, and tons of other stuff to get rid of them... not exactly stalker like is it

The game needs a button that dumps all the ammo thats not compatible with your equipped guns or something, cos theres just too many different ammo in the game

You guys need to learn what is valuable and what isn’t. Each item has a weight penalty and I love this aspect of the game because it makes me make actual choices. Will I walk 1k over encumbered just to make an extra 3k koupons? I will I ditch the common low tier guns and ammo so I can move faster.

Rare ammo and orange medkits are like a 2nd and 3rd currency. If you have 40 bandages, 30 energy drinks, 30 vodkas, 15 of each food and a few hundred 9x19 ammo rounds… that alone will add close to 30 kg to your weight.

If you find friendly NPCs walking around, trade your excess medkits, bandages and drinks. They usually have 700 koupons you can gain while shedding a load of inventory weight.

So if you are excess of such items and see a friendly NPC, go trade.

One thing in this game that WAY WAY WAY, more annoying than stamina.....

Is sleeping FFS, the game needs a tiredness bar or something, so atleast you get a heads up that you need to head somewhere to sleep, or they need to introduce a bedroll/tent or something so you can sleep in other palces

Yep agreed. It always bugs me when games give a sleep mechanic but don’t actually penalise you for forcing you to use it. Every 16 hours you should start feeling the effects. Well unless like me you are approaching 57 and a nice wee afternoon nap works wonders for your crankiness;)

Theres a half moon icon that appears eventually,if you ignore it weird stuff starts happening like voices other random weirdness akin to psi radiation :o

I haven't slept once, didn't even know it was a thing.

The experience when dealing with the cats is quite surreal, and is one of the more trippy moments I've had in the game. Very strange indeed.

Is there a bar telling you how hungry your character is?
I'm not sure if eating more is reducing a hidden bar or if it's a true/false flag. Hungry, not hungry.

I seem to be eating like a horse (as well as drinking like one!)

You just see a little chicken drumstick icon when you're hungry.
