Stalker 2

Not bad. But still £31.79 :p

£24.60, and without a pre-order.

They gifted me the discount due to previous purchases. Just need to use it up during their Black Friday sales.

I’ve got it on GP anyway but won’t have GP indefinitely so will play it for a bit and make my mind up. If it’s great I’ll probably buy it as I can’t go wrong for under £25 on a new release. Will be a bummer downloading it again over my peasant broadband though!

But you could have used that with any other games no? :p

Hope you enjoy it, bugs and all :)

Guns wear down way too fast.

I read on reddit someone claiming it's only 200 bullets from 100> to junk that jams every few shots.

A better way would just be letting you clean your own weapon... the money sink sucks, I'd rather have a minigame or something

I did one early mission at the poppy field, one choice was to get a gun as reward... so I get a named gun but it's 0 durability and needs over 8k to repair it

someone said there's a mission where you need 40k for some suit too, it's a crazy amount of money when durability is hammering your wallet, or you only use crappy found guns and dispose of them all the time.

but then what's the point of having special named versions of guns if you can't use them, some of them were meant to be rewards for delux/ultimate edition owners too.

what are you meant to do stick them in your personal stash and look at them once a day?

Sadly, it didn't improved much compared to previous games on that regard. Still pretty bad.

It's also likely somewhat due to the transition to an open world and it no longer being "sectioned". The computing power required to simulate the entire map at all once I can imagine is heavy.

Neah, AMD had accelerated 3000+ AI units in real time, back in ~2008 or so, during HD4000 series, while also doing real time graphics.

That's not how open world games work and anything outside of the players sphere of influence can broken down to it's most basic form anyway.

If a tree falls in a forest and no one sees it then does it need to fall with real time physics?
or would a simple 1 oo 0 change to the code suffice

I've had that. Though to be honest my play style is to try and stealth everything. If they're already shooting at me, chances are that I'll die.

I would get bored using stealth alone in this type of game. I use it to sneak a bit to stab them or get headshots
