Stalker 2

Just got it. Crash fest for me. Also annoying that some key binds are hard coded and using the quick slot items are a nightmare. Will try again tomorrow otherwise uninstalling until patches come out

PCMR means we have the option to control games in a lot more ways than consoles. So to poo poo one method is a beta move :p

Ok not a lot more but way more flexible.

I rarely use a controller though I have really enjoyed using it when playing some old Doom WADS and the like, where only the x-axis is being employed. It makes a change from using a keyboard and mouse. As said by someone else, it's good for slower-paced 3rd-person games, such as survival-horror. As for this game, though, I think I'd need to put in a ton of practice first!

If it helps anyone else, I've seen this game doesn't like Afterburner and since turning it off I haven't had any crashes (unlike yesterday when I was crashing every few minutes).

Does seem to be a very difficult game though, probably not for me. Might give it another try over the weekend before deciding whether to keep it or not as it is a drive space hog

Yes lol I spend more time on the "Another one died" reload screen, than in game. Always dead to mobs you cant see or radiation or invisible walls. Bolt was doing my head in too

Right at the end of the game and crash after crash after crash, so very little chance of finishing it in this state :(
Also the amount of enemies just popping in out of nowhere is just ridiculous.

Try this mod (if you already haven't).

I use afterburner when playing. Only had 1 CTD as I recall. That was before patches.

According to my save file I am around 10 hours in. Apart from the occasional dips in fps in camps the game is running sweet for me.

Starting to really get into it too :D

Those Tushkanos are really persistent buggers. I'm presently at the swamps:
attempting to switch off the beacons.

Mutants are in abundance and ammo is starting to run low.
