Refreshing to say the least. Remember feeling similarly about SoC but it took a little bit of imagination to get to grips with. I might go back to it with some comfort mods and see how it is.

Have they fixed the AI randomly spawning in yet ? Or do we have to wait for this Ai life update in a few months ?
Best played with a gamepad tbh, it was designed around one, like most games these days.

Too easy to play with a m/k setup, you don't get the sense of pride and accomplishment that you do with a pad!
I play dcs black shark flight SIM with this
I rarely use a controller though I have really enjoyed using it when playing some old Doom WADS and the like, where only the x-axis is being employed. It makes a change from using a keyboard and mouse. As said by someone else, it's good for slower-paced 3rd-person games, such as survival-horror. As for this game, though, I think I'd need to put in a ton of practice first!
If it helps anyone else, I've seen this game doesn't like Afterburner and since turning it off I haven't had any crashes (unlike yesterday when I was crashing every few minutes).
Does seem to be a very difficult game though, probably not for me. Might give it another try over the weekend before deciding whether to keep it or not as it is a drive space hog

Right at the end of the game and crash after crash after crash, so very little chance of finishing it in this state
Also the amount of enemies just popping in out of nowhere is just ridiculous.
Try this mod (if you already haven't).

Just thought I'd buy from CDkeys for £30. I've tried transferring my save from the gamepass version but she ain't working. Any advice? EDIT: Never mind, sorted it

I use afterburner when playing. Only had 1 CTD as I recall. That was before patches.
According to my save file I am around 10 hours in. Apart from the occasional dips in fps in camps the game is running sweet for me.
Starting to really get into it too
