They are full on abilities, the saucer separation pretty much turns the Galaxy into a part time escort and the armour on the Intrepid is a huge defensive buff for 30sec (although it disables energy weapons and shields)

It is such a shame they rushed these things and did not get them in for release (including Klingon content). Could have been a really great MMO. Of those of you that still play, did you manage to find any good (and active) fleets?

Not really, I tried to avoid the new content so I wouldn't spoil it but I did play around with a few bits. The new mini games are fun. Walking around your ship is fun but pointless and the novelty soon wears off. The new higher level items and higher level cap are good. Apparently the new sectors look real nice but I have not seen them. I cannot comment on the new stuff like diplomacy missions or new ships.

Is anybody still playing this game ? I cant find fleet "Full Impulse" so im guessing its gone now.

Think it was closed in the end. There are a few people around here playing. Not sure if they are in any fleets though.

I remember speaking to captain rave about the Fleet, No one bar me a few months ago was in it, and then I stopped subbing.

Each revision comes out, i just join up again for a month and test it out.

ive seen wow and eve working on a netbook, reckon STO will work 2?

Unlikely - the engine cryptic use is pretty hardware intensive. Certainly wouldn't expect it to work on a netbook.

The diplomatic missions are mostly reading stuff from NPC's and answering their questions. They require a little bit of thought instead of just mashing all the dialogue options.

Hmm a lot more stuff in the cryptic store, a lot of new class ships or something, as some say "Costume", so id imagine its just the looks that change and the abilitys and slots stay the same.

The c-store is one of the ways to get the vice admiral refit ships, when you reach VA you get a token to get one of the ships free for that character.

If you want one of the other refit ships on that character your choice is either grind out 500 of the emblems from the VA dailies (will take a loooooong time) or buy it on the c-store (which unlocks it for all characters on an account)

The ship costumes on the store are just what you think, different skins for ships, only other actual ships on the store is the TOS Enterprise (alternative to the T1 starter ship) and the Dreadnought Cruiser (the 3 nacelle Galaxy from the TNG finale).

I'm not sure i agree with this whole changing ships every two seconds. what happened to bonding with your ship, customizing it and so on. I still reckon everyone got to VA too quickly and we should have had better quality missions at lower levels.

Ahwell they are learning, roll on S3.

I got to VA very quickly, and thats when i think most of us got bored as there was naff all to do apart from the same stuff we did upto VA..

Thanks G-Man for confirming what i thought, still £10 is fairly expensive to try it again so i might wait a little while.

I just keep waiting for every season update, which seems about every 3-4months and then just taking a month out.

Keep it rolling so i only have to subscribe now and again to stay atop of it lol. Wouldnt work in eve etc

If they do actually manage to come out with these promised weekly missions then at least in a couple months there should be a decent bit of new content for resubbers.
