Well finally managed to install and have a play for a few hours before the servers go down. Have to say im enjoying it but was hoping that the space fighting would be more in depth etc was probs just me (can you target specific areas of enemy ships?) other than that im at the Earth space port atm just looking about and reading up on skill points and whatnot :)

There is more depth later on e.g. end game I think I have about 18 skills - most of which I have to use when fighting the Borg and Undine - they are tough!
 
Not an amazing list of fixes - the fire all weapons bug is really annoying. Oh well, hopefully there is word on end-game content soon. At least with my lifetime sub if things get stale I can come back in a few months. Hmm, getting bored of pc gaming anyway - e.g. Mass Effect 2 was epic, but got bored immediatly on my second run through.

Escort = dps dealer
Cruiser = tank
Sceince = buffs/debuffs and arguably a better tank

Yes, you can change down the line - all ships can tb bought, you just get a free ticket for one when you level up. Just be careful where you spend your skill points - perhaps try the ships before you spend your skill points!

Edit: I seem to have sold a load on the exchange again overnight - seems I need to farm more this evening :). 13 mil in the bank now I think.

Another turret - I have 3 on my escort and they work just fine. Annoyingly, fire all weapons is bugged at the moment and the turrets override the cannons. This is a bug however, they should not share any cooldowns.

We will certainly help you. Post your captain name and username - we can invite you to our OcUK fleet. We should be able to help you in most cases :)

On another note, is the test server not live yet? They really messed up with yesterdays patch!
 
Have cancelled my STO lifetime sub. Think I will sub on a month to month basis. There is just so little to do I just cant see myself getting value out of the lifetime sub. Think I will sub for one month and see how it goes.
 
Phone up 0870 490 0617 and select the options to get to billing support. I got through straight away - then just tell them you want to cancel your lifetime sub. The guy asked for my username and password and that was it.

Will probably sub for a month or two - but then will wait to see what happens. That is not to say I am not enjoying the game, I just cant see there being enough content long term. Tbh I think I am getting tired of PC gaming as a whole.

Didn't say - not sure what will happen to my borg character. As long as you do it during the free "30 days" you are OK - it doesnt properly activate until after then. I think I have finally just gotten tired of -

- Nothing to do at level 45
- New bugs introduced with recent patches e.g. the fire all weapons bug that totally gimps my main character
- All of the ATI problems
- MMOs in general

But like I said, I will stick around and take it from month to month. £10 a month is nothing, especially considering how much I spend on other games usually.

Was wow as massive aqs it is now? I assume they made it massive when they released all those expansion packs.

I don't want to waste money on STO if no one will be playing it next month.

So whats the deal MMO legends? Is this as good as Half-Life 2 was when it came out or is it the equivalent of MW2???????
