The STF's equipment is all borg based, but the survival events can throw random enemies at you, so all your XII purple's turn out to be sub-optimal against anything that isn't borg. And in survival, (as in the STF's), it's about exploding things quickly, which usually means Tactical escorts.

As a general all round, I would use the Aegis set.

I know what you mean, I have all sets apart from latest reman stuff (I simply cant be bothered wi the vault grind). Its just annoying having very rare items that take a fare amount of work to get are mostly usless apart from very specific situations. I had to remove my XII Antiproton set for my old Mark X antiproton x2 dmg set to even put a dent in some enemies hull ;)

I loved the aegis set, both in stat boosts and looks.
 
I did mine a month or two back and it mucked it up completely. Says they've merged, but when I log in with my PW account there are no toons there. My cryptic login still works, but all copies of the oddyssey anniversary ship I had on various toons were gone.

Haven't played since, was a bit disgusted when a GM told me they couldn't do anything about it.
 
I had heard lots of issues hence asking. I noticed a few people have said things had gone missing, my slipsteam has for instance, so im adverse to loosing anymore!
 
Done the merge thing yesterday, no issues i could notice and all my characters were still in game when logged in with the PWE account.

Typical Cryptic though, completely no warning about the website change over and its missing all sorts of fuctionality the old site/forums had. Took them long enough to even have a news post on the main site about it.
