Star Trek Online

I remember reading a blog post saying STO is growing and PW are investing heavily into it.

This i think is due to some recent changes.

However i am in a very busy fleet so its hard to tell. But it was hard to get fleet actions and fleet mark events going once upon a time but now pretty much no wait if you want to team work.

Unfortunately graphics card blew up so have not been gaming in a few weeks.
 
Its pretty simple yeah, you just sign up to the forums and click the join button and it automaticaly posts a thread for you on the site, a few hours later they accept you unless you have 5 heads or something... and then you click another button that adds you to the fleet invite list, few more hours you get an invite!

its a little intricate but they have a very nice community behind it all, worth doing.
 
I jump on every now and again, it's definately not a continous play game but it's quite decent as something to play for a few days or so every few weeks.

And it has the bonus that its F2P setup doesn't make me feel like I'm being punished for not subbing anymore.
 
I might consider playing again if it's f2p but I always struggled with the game. It had no obvious direction or purpose to it and the klingon side was basically "here's a war bird, off you go!"

It got boring fast, plus it seemed very difficult to get decent people when on planets.
 
It's actually not bad, you're not really pushed into paying for anything during the levelling process. The ship combat is excellent, the ground stuff less so, but if you're a trek fan it's well worth a look. There are some truly exceptional story missions scattered throughout.
