Good to point out all of the stuff in the packs will be on the store post release. The ships in the packs are probably a slightly different version to ones you will level up with or better in some areas :)
 
Just got back into this after a break, shame the ocuk fleet went.
Anyone have a decent fleet wanting to take 2 va fed chars :)
 
Is star trek online worth it without a subscription?

Simple question really. is this game worth playing without a subscription?

looking for a space battling game where you can customise ships etc and this came up as top choice
 
Yes, there is still a lot of content that you can access. Why not give it a try and then see if you need to sub? If you are looking for a decent space ship battling game, this is where Star Trek Online shines.
 
It's a really good f2p model to be fair, you can get through almost all of the content without paying a penny. The price you pay is that the cash shop gets shoved in your face a lot, but if you can ignore that it's great fun.
 
Best option is to sub while levelling so you get the free inventory/bank slots and the respec tokens. Once at the level cap there is very little reason to sub.
 
Anyone still playing this? anyone a member of a good fleet. I've been with one a year and it's been a ******* nightmare lol
 
I might just revert to playing by self again. I grabbed a lot of kit before leaving my current fleet.

in my opinion i'd stay well clear of UFPlanets.com

However I do think the game has got quite stale.

Im thinking about starting a new fleet but I think I need 5 people , you can leave once it's set up, anyone around to help?
 
Considering getting back into this game again, I spent out on the Kar-fi carrier for my kling and the defiant for my fed
 
I bought the Digital Deluxe of this a while back and didn't play past the 30days included.

Just been playing this again the last few days and really enjoying it. Not spent any money and finding it pretty good to level F2P
 
Love that they are bringing the Voth to STO.

Have you seen the Fortress ship? HOLY crap.

I played the new feature episode which rewards a new iconian-era ship, it's massive and among other rewards the mission was good and anything fresh to this game is needed so if you haven't played in a while go check it out.
