It was great to see they went so indepth on the q illness.
One minute the Q are immortal, the next dying for unspecified reasons...most likely because the idiots they wrote this plodding pile of pig **** weren't clued into the fact he's meant to be immortal.
Im confused to wtf went on there, first hes mad with picard, then hes dying, then he lost power on the finger click on the women picard, then got his power back in the end, is he dying or faking or what???? also is the whole continuum dying or just him????
You enjoy poorly written, plodding storylines with plot holes big enough to drive a planet through? More power to ya.
I knew that from the first episode. The trick was always to switch the brain off before watching and just enjoy the ride.
The Q scene at the end was a nice touch.
Enjoying the ride in this was akin to straddling a tortoise and expecting to be blown away by the speed.
In TNG he was said to be this super child prodigy, by The Traveller. I guess he just got taken on by them.Wesley - really good to see him back on his own terms, he got a rough ride in TNG and irl. Can someone explain how he became part of the travellers/watchers?
Thanks, been a long time since I watched TNGIn TNG he was said to be this super child prodigy, by The Traveller. I guess he just got taken on by them.
Great finale, albeit everything coming together so perfectly was a little convenient.
Q - the actor isn't getting any younger, so I thought it was a perfect conclusion for Picard and Q
A perfect conclusion for q and picard? Seriously? A previously immortal being suddenly "ill" and dying and absolutely no reason for it? The writing was so lazy they couldn't come up with a reason how an immortal being suddenly stopped being that.
Yes, seriously.
John De Lancie is 74 years old, i wouldn't like to see him in his 80's playing Q. Q was a big part of TNG and him and Picards chemistry were some of the best TNG episodes for me.
So, why not have one last game with each other, but this time doing it for Picard instead of his own amusement?
If we could live forever, then i'm all for keeping Q going, but unfortunately that isn't real life, so i found it a fitting goodbye for Q. That being said, we didn't actually see him die, maybe he didn't die or maybe it was another game, who knows?! But for me i thought it was a touching moment between the characters.
