Star Trek: Picard

Episode 3 ranked High on the "meeehhhhhhhh" scale.

I wonder if it'll be explained how the "confederation" took out the borg as their weapons looks pretty standard phaser and torpedoes. Not exactly the kinda thing that would have the borg reaching for a clean pair of kecks. Though I doubt they'll bother with any insight on it.
 
The queen saved the day, every scene she was great TV a good proper menacing villain. Looking forward how this is going to play out with the Dr who appears to have some kind of future space disease that makes that allows them to switch from super dum to super clever in 1 second but only when a gun is pointing at their head.

Raffi needs killing off ASAP, Badly acted, badly written just crap.

I haven't watched this season yet, but this seems to be the main issue for me with all new shows, they try to drag out massive season-long arcs when it would be better to have mini-arcs and a couple of 1-3 part full on arcs like they did back in the day.

Not much chance of that these days, modern “trek” just seems to be a season long storyline. Says a lot when you only have 10 episodes these days vs 26 and they’re having to basically make filler episodes where nearly nothing happens.

I much prefer the old school format of self contained episodes and the odd 2 parter. At least then you got some variety, instead of what we are stuck with now.
 
From the way she described it being assimilated didn't sound that bad.

Buts pretty dire really apart from the bits with the BORG queen.
 
Wow this got boring fast, I find myself fast forwarding Agnes and Raffies scenes. IAM finding all the characters irritating to some degree,even the great Jean Luc Picard is coming across like a like a doddering old codger. Q is still cool though.
 
The main thing I'm finding irritating is picards "weary old man" voice. He sounds like he's about to lapse into a coma at the end of every sentence. I know part of it is Stewerts age playing a factor plus his adding to it a bit for the 98 or so year old picard...but christ it just lacks any authority whatsoever and gets seriously tedious when he has a few lines to get through.

It's got to a point where I welcome even aggies voice over picards.

Ditto with this.

Dunno...its ok. It started strong and is kinda meh. Just finished episode 4.
 
Quite literally fell asleep towards the end of the last nights episode 4 so I need to rewatch tonight.

There’s just too much going on now and I find it difficult to follow, either that or I am just bored after such a good start to the season.
