Star Trek: Picard

One thing that bugs me, picard talked of his mom a few times in tng and seemed fine, we see her even in the traveller ep i think where daydreams come real and she looked old so presumed she lived till old age. Plus why do we not see picards brother, he was older and presume he was still with the family at home back then. But no mention of him. How come he wasnt involved with all this too?

Ok, so finally got around to watching this..

Erm, so they've just basically re-written everything Borg related from 400 years back, so Q showing them the Borg in TNG, The Borg from First Contact which then becomes the Borg in Enterprise, Voyager, all of it dusted by the fact they give 'AgneBorg' a 400-year tech jump...

Are we actually going to get a ******* Enterprise flying around in season 3 or would including the ship his names most linked to be too much of a brainbuster for the "writers"?

I'm still wondering why Q said "interesting" and had a funny look on his face after rios said "times a funny thing" like it was some hint at something more to come.

Well, Worf (bless him; 'looks like he's had the literal **** scared out of him with all that monotone white hair all over his head) is a captain in that trailer and canonically he should be the captain of the Enterprise-E right around that time so yes, that's quite possible. Well, unless 'reasons'.

William Shatner, recently speaking at San Diego Comic Con, said that Gene Roddenberry would be "Turning in his grave" over the new star trek series. He was asked if any of the recent Star Trek series held a candle to his, to which he replied, "None of them". He goes on to say how well he knew Gene and this is where he made the statement. I'm pleased to see he is saying what he thinks and is not scared to share it.

Gene Roddenberry would be "turning in his grave" over TNG , DS9 and Voyager.

He was out after season 2 and then it suddenly got really good...

He also really disliked Wrath of Khan and most of the movies made during his lifetime.

I think you missed the point there Vincent. Shatner is saying new trek is rubbish.

I don't think a 90+ year old man who likely hasn't seen any of the newer shows and wrote/directed the worst star trek movie of all time should be taken too seriously.

Though obviously Picard has been absolutely awful, and Discovery wasn't very good either.

Possibly not. AgneBorg is separate from Collective Borg who are separate from Cooperative Borg. Think off AgneBorg as a Borg empire/union that kept its self away from the Federation until recently and when they where spotted before they where mistaken for the Collective Borg or Cooperative Borg groups.
