Star Trek: Picard

Well that was good again!

Annoying - Raffi! I roll my eyes everytime she comes on screen. And some intelligence officer, everyone she meets, she tells! Oh, and that speech she gave at the start about 117 lives, blah blah - terrible terrible acting.

But Worf! Someone here called it earlier.

Picards voice - gave way a few times during his chat with Jack :( But a great "Engage!" at the end!

I'm not getting the comments about "not much happened", "not much story" whine whine whine - I thought it was great. So much so, when the credits rolled, I didn't realise how much time had passed.

This really does feel like a long TNG movie split into 10 parts. The only thing I'm miffed about is how dark/foggy everything is.

also, as mentioned above.....nobody needs to watch seasons 1 and 2 to enjoy this. In fact, I'd say it was better if you didn't :cry:

Raffi is still annoying as hell.

yep pretty good actually

minus the Raffi stuff - skipped through it after a while because my eye rolling meant i couldn't see the screen anyway (did see the end of her bit though)

captain Shaw is great - what a dude!

pretty much convinced that its going to be the "conspiracy" bugs - look at the shape of the enemy ship, also "dont tell anyone" type stuff

However, i have since watched all of it and its not to bad as long as you adjust your expectations accordingly, I'd go as far as to say its certainly better than what we have seen from the live action stuff so far, that said I haven't seen any of the new season of Picard (the first 2 were weak AF IMHO) nor Strange New Worlds, so we'll see..

If you take it in the same sort of grain as you would an episode of Family Guy or something like that, that's about where it sits IMHO, but based in the Trek universe...

Strange New Worlds is the best Star Trek in quite a while. Back to basics.

When I saw the shrike I immediately thought of the juggernaut in Freespace 2.
