Star Trek: Picard

Give episode 1 a try and well.

Call me impressed.

Visually stunning.

Dialogue is hugely improved.

Jokes feel like banter instead of tools to degrade.

Apparently this season is being so well received they are considering a season 4 along the same style!

and for a moment i thought we will end up seeing odo later in the series, but rememeberd Rene died :(

Yea, I was actually excited for the return, hadnt realised the actor had passed a few years ago :( Would have been absolutely amazing to see them interact on screen again.

Just binged up to EP3. Yes, ****** yes. Absolutely brilliant. Why didn't they give Jonathan Frakes creative control before now.

Brilliant so far.

Just watched Ep. 3 after giving up after series 1 (wife has continued to watch).

The show is shot in a really slick cinematic fashion that I don’t really think suits Star Trek at all… but otherwise it was very watchable indeed, much better than series 1. Will probably pick it back up from here!

Why don't you start s3 from ep1? It's been brilliant. Frakes directed episode 3.

hmm the female changeling i wonder if shes still in a fed prison, if so, i wonder if they would get Salome Jens back even tho shes 88. And the renegade dominion group is trying to get her back.

I'm wondering if it's possibly something like getting hold of Moriarty or he becomes involved somehow as the Daystrom institute/station whatever has been shown in both Picard and Lower Decks to potentially be the store/prison for dangerous AI's etc, and the end credits reference a holodeck program with the safeties off involving 10 forward, from memory in TNG one of the Moriarty episodes involved him tricking Picard into thinking he'd left the holodeck by recreating areas outside of it. So I've been half expecting him to make an appearance since Ep1 either as a bad guy, or potentially a good guy as his main aim in one of the episodes was to be free and have his companion free as well, something that is doable with the mobile emitters they created for the EMH in Voyager (it could make sense for him to have been canonically working there to advance the EMH type systems whilst under supervision)

Well i didnt wana spoil it for myself but such as news feeds kinda said once about moriarty in s3, personally i dunno if id like that storyline. But it is something that was not resolved in tng. So never know.

While this is loads better than seasons 1 and 2, all this is doing is making me realise how much better a Worf series would have been.

He even made Raffi tolerable.

How has this become so good? It’s night and day vs the previous two seasons.

No way they didn’t anticipate that at the end. All part of the plan. Picard goes to get the changling and once dealt with riker gets the ship out of the anomaly once no one can give their position away
