Star Trek: Picard

Bit silly with Jack handing himself over because reasons but another enjoyable episode. The D was looking fine!

I don't think he intended a handover, I think his intention was to waltz in there & fill her with phaser fire but he's unexpectedly unable

That's why I thought he was handing himself over, in what reality was he going to waltz in with one runabout and a phaser and not give her/them what they want. No version of him going there was the right move.

I'm just loving the new 'data', Brent Spiner is kind of stealing the scene when he's there.... I hope we die quickly

And... ok so we now know it's the borg, again, but why the hell hasn't anyone gone to see the Agnes borg.... and the comments about not seeing the borg in 10 years, it's like the Agnes borg just don't exist now because I'm sure it wasn't 10 years between season 2 and 3....

A battle between a forced collective and a 'voluntary' collective would be far more interesting than another 'enterprise D' saves the day again imo (anyone else want to be bet on them crashing the ship into the borg cube, Worf is already disappointed in the lack of weapons compared with the E)

Another cameo too, Shelby was Rikers 'second officer' when JLP was Locutus of Borg....

Oh and then the 'feels' being back on Enterprise D.... then JLP missing carpet lol

Did anyone else notice that the moment Picard sat in his chair on the D bridge, his voice grew deeper and stronger. The sort of doddery old man voice just went away and was immediately replaced by the Captain Picard strong voice

I knew what the big bad was going to be and yet still attempted to hold out hope for anything else, but nope...

The Borg being central to a series about Picard makes a heap of sense and I'm not annoyed by it but I'm finding it difficult to connect the last two seasons to this... are the *nice* Borg (presumably The Cooperative) going to show up and what was the point of the demonic robot hole in the first season? I really don't see how one ancient ship is going to do anything to an entire fleet so something has to give... Sadly I suspect some farcical rebound by Jack which 'somehow' overwrites the *nasty* Borg Queen's control.

Enjoyed it.

Borg as the big bad is boring and they seem to have ignored recent history, as others mentioned. Jack will save the day off course, he will somehow defeat the Borg single handedly. Worf and Data have all the best lines this season. Raffi seems quite muted this season overall and hasn't said "JL" once. I still want to punch her in the face though. Why didn't they just go full on nostalgia overload from Season 1? I seriously doubt the actors could handle more than 1 season, at their ages. Sitting back in the captain's seat of the Enterprise-D seemed to give a momentary jolt to Patrick Stewart and for a brief moment his voice sounded commanding, but it will go back to frail soon :). Despite all this i've loved every second of it! :D

If you vpn prime to the US will it play it?! Must have a go. It’s getting dangerous on Twitter/YouTube

Got caught out by a YouTube thumbnail pic. Damn the algorithm and damn people spoiling things (although was pretty certain what I saw was coming).
