**** Star Wars: Battlefront ****

Wow a lot of hate for that reveal. personally I thought it was excellent.

Just because Battlefield has 64 players doesn't mean every game they make has to be the same. People will moan because it's too 'similar' to Battlefield, then moan because it's not the same as Battlefield.
 
Another potential customer greatly disappointed there is no single player campaign.
BattleFront 3, went from a "must buy" too "maybe." :(

Why cant these market leading developers create story campaigns as well as great
multi-player modes, Like Halo or GTA5?

different audience.

The people wanting a single player are the ones that have interest in this game having played the original lucasarts star wars games not traditional battlefield fans.

You're making the wrong assumption that everybody in this thread is a fan of the battlefield franchise, not star wars fans looking at the latest star wars game.

But weren't the previous battlefront games multiplayer based anyway? I don't recall them having a single player campaign. I can understand people wanting a decent single player star wars game (I do to!) but battlefront has never been about that so expecting it of this one it a bit odd.

Hasn't it? BF2 had an excellent single-player game and actually told the SW story from the pov of the 501st legion. I tried MP about 3 times on one playing session and hated it.

The reason I love previous Battlefront games is because of the SP options. Choosing a multitude of maps and battling against the computer with a number of different types of SW soldiers was excellent fun. Galactic Conquest mode was awesome.

Now it seems that those things won't exist. I don't know exactly what "offline mini-missions" means but I fear it's going to be script based and not free running player-vs-computer battles.

Mate lets keeps our hopes up this trailer might be from one of those coop campaigns...and not an actual MP
