Where did it say 40 player only? It was mentioned they saw 1 game mode that had 40 players. Doesn't mean they are all 40 players.

Single player is the biggest waste of time and money to put into games like this. Most people don't care and never touch it.

Is abit disappointing, when you consider a indie development from the Squad is doing 50v50..

After see if battlefront is bring in more server demanding things could be reason for less player count.

This is the thing. Joint Operations had 50 v 50 players and that was like ten years ago or something.

I just cant help but think that we should have larger maps with 100's of players. It is 2015 after all.

I'll be honest I lost interest as soon as I saw main characters as being playable. I know this is a thing that all previous Battlefronts have done, but it just isn't of much interest to me really. I might be in a minority but I don't tend to enjoy playing as the main characters - I prefer Star Wars games like X-Wing, Rebel Assault, or SWG, where you're basically a nobody.
