**** Star Wars: Battlefront ****

I enjoy the drop pod rounds but the wide open corridor of death Jakku map is starting to iritate me. Everyone knows the peak sits, headqlitch spots etc and it's just turneed into a big camping fest.

Also homing missile central now lol

I managed to avoid most of the homing missile spam using cover, but the pulse cannon was becoming an issue for me. It's a rail gun basically.

Yeah snap, if its wasn't homing missile it was the "green god ray of death".

Just watched a video by JackFlags, mentioned espurtz for SWBF - I laughed so hard I had a coughing fit. GG lolz

E-wotsnow?

Needs server browser, servers which can be managed and a metric **** load of balance.
I bet there is a server browser if you're DICE though.

how hard is multiplayer

Hi guys,

Im thinking of purchasing this game but im not usually all that good at multiplayers and so just wondering if its gonna be my typical experience of a 5-10 life span and only 2 kills in a game......

should I be worried??

I did hear its more arcade style and has a few options of bots in mission mode

thanks for any input

I would say yes and no. It is very arcadey so you will still be able to get kills in most games BUT some of the later weapons are obviously OP so you will get killed by T-21 and DL-44 A LOT.

Also, i find the games surprisingly inconsistent sometimes, like one game I topped the scoreboard with the most kills and in the very next game I got zero kills, cannot explain it, I was playing the same.

Also, some of the powerups are instant kills so anyone can pick them up.

I *think* the inconsistency is due to the update bubble around your player and how it interacts with your ping and the ping of anyone else in your vicinity. Not being shown whether you've got a good or bad ping to a server or the ping of the person you consistently kill or die to in one on ones makes it hard to tell.
BF4 is much much better in this regard. (Although it still suffers from this).

Also some people are spamming their wall hack or aim assist cards which can really swing the balance in a fight.

^^ I'm glad to see I'm not the only one noticing it in SW:BF there is a multi page thread on the official forums of people complaining about the stuff I've been complaining about with BF4 for years :D

It's not too bad in BF4 though, you really notice the inconstancy in SWBF. The game might be much more casual but they do need to get this sorted.

Depends how you look at it :P it doesn't tend to affect people in general as badly in BF4 but it does more often than not affect me that badly for whatever reason.

No one here gives a monkeys about the lack of offline mate  There is no Instant Action mode like the old Battlefront games, so you cannot play the online modes and maps solo vs an army of bots.

What little singleplayer there is split into

Training: Basic tutorial missions for getting to grips with vehicles mostly, quite fun but extremely short.
Battles:A kill-confirmed type mode vs a small number of bots
Survival: Horde mode against 15 thin waves of bots.

Those two are the closest you'l get to offline vs bots, but they very limited, small scale skirmishes on a small number of maps and get tedious after a short time. The lack of offline play is a disgrace, this game will have very little longevity.

If you're bad at multiplayer games then you will be bad at this also. Just because it is more casual doesn't mean that it will make you be a better player. All it does it make average fps players look like they came straight out of the ESL Academy and ESL players look like hax0rs.
