**** Star Wars: Battlefront ****

that's that then, I'm guessing the hackers have just launched a cheat online, seen two blatant ones this evening aimbotting. Absolutely winds me up, I just rage so hard when I see it, game went off as did Discord, sorry guys it just boils my blood and ruins it for me.

Same.

It was always going to be a big problem with this type of game tbh, why on earth DICE didn't just use the battlelog system with proper servers is beyond me....

I just don't get them, they have released so many games now and fixed the day 1 issues that has plagued every game yet with each new game, they still always have the same issues on day 1. Instead of building upon an already very solid platform, they always seem to start from scratch :/

It will only get worse over the next few weeks too when the kids get of school for a couple of weeks + the star wars hype with the film :(

I hope we get more SP content if cheating is going to ruin this game.

Hmm, that guy was suspicious last night. I did get him once or twice though. Still up for a game of this (or maybe even BF4) later this evening if anyone is on though.

I notice even Nexus has quite variable rounds on this.

If this game is going to make it as far as February they must sort out the server browser and anti cheat.

@Twirlywoos, Were you logged into battlelog or just origin last night? It seems odd that I can send a game invite to someone who hasn't got the game! If you were logged into BL, that suggests BL integration is actually partly there already.

No one here gives a monkeys about the lack of offline mate  There is no Instant Action mode like the old Battlefront games, so you cannot play the online modes and maps solo vs an army of bots.

What little singleplayer there is split into

Training: Basic tutorial missions for getting to grips with vehicles mostly, quite fun but extremely short.
Battles:A kill-confirmed type mode vs a small number of bots
Survival: Horde mode against 15 thin waves of bots.

Those two are the closest you'l get to offline vs bots, but they very limited, small scale skirmishes on a small number of maps and get tedious after a short time. The lack of offline play is a disgrace, this game will have very little longevity.

Here's hoping someone will mod it for the multiplayer maps with bots.
Lazy of DICE not to do it.

I wasn't 100% sure on him at first tbh, initially I thought just a semi-decent player using an OP weapon with OP perks (shield and bow caster) but the moment that he insta killed me across the map whilst using his jump pack was utter ********, the DL 44 is OP but it isn't that good at that range. I am guessing that his aimbot wasn't suppose to "lock" onto me but someone else as he was obviously trying to keep it quite. Don't know why cheaters try to hide it, they should just go full on, the only ones they are trying to fool are themselves.

The problem is with no battlelog, spectator mode or stat sites like bf4stats, it is now very hard to detect them.

I notice even Nexus has quite variable rounds on this.

Hasn't got updated Nexus-bot v37 running properly.

That's what happens when there is no skill ceiling :p But yeah, you can decimate one round then next round do ****. With the game catered for casuals i.e. wallhack, aim assist, no recoil/spread, perfect hip fire accuracy etc. it puts everyone on a level playing field.

But like I said before, it is still a fun game regardless of losing/winning and something that we can play and not take seriously. The try hard pants are for BF4! :D

I think there are some unseen variables too... its really weird... when playing the other day on one map the guy on the other team was just dominating everyone as a normal inf went like 50-4 and I could hardly keep an even kd... the next map using the same faction and weapons he was just awful and couldn't kill me at all and I went like 30-5.

that sounds more like he just turned his aimbot off for a round.

With there being no recoil. Most people's scores tend to be quite even on death to kill ratio.

Saw someone the other day with 95 kills and 6 deaths. Some people can excel during a game I know. But after seeing that ratio, I was like come on.
